This is the most mixed bag of opinions I've seen on the thing, is it actually good? Is it just shitty dead technology?

Reposting question here. Is there a way to apply different particle effects in each hand for a single gesture override, but only for the hand that does the gesture in-game? For instance, say I want the rocknroll gesture to activate stars particles in my right hand, and sparkly particles in my left hand. When I override the rocknroll animation however, both particles appear no matter which hand I make the gesture on in-game.

Also is it normal that particle effects don't appear in the in-game mirrors?

Unfortunate problem with Rift's setup for additional trackers is each extra object you're want to track would exponential raise CPU time to process each image from the 2/3/4 webcams.

It's the main perk of Vive's setup where each device handles its own tracking and then reports that to the PC, vs. making the PC do all the work.

If you have vive trackers for the ankles, how necessary is the one for the hips?

I mean really, I see people running around with Kim Jong Il and Joseph Stalin avatars and nothing happens, but as much as a Hitler reference and you're gone. It says a lot about the snow flake mods. Can confirm, had the same issue with my avatar.
As for the legs going through the skirt, also have/had that issue. The easiest fix is to add dynamic bones to the skirt, and then dynamic bone colliders to the legs. This fixes it for the most part, but when running it can still clip through and sometimes pull the skirt back in (fixes itself by running/walking around some more).

A harder but likely better fix is to make a custom walking/running animation. That is going to be my course of action, eventually. Gonna be a massive pain I am sure.

Is the process of exporting a .pmx difficult and requires manual work or does it come directly with the program from CustomMaid3D itself?

Can someone please help me out on shooting my gun ingame?
Everything seems to be setup correctly in unity, whereever I move the gun the particle affect follows and is angled correctly.
Ingame I can activate the gun as I want using the hand gesture, and fire it using another hand gesture. The gun sits in the hand perfectly ingame and all that, but the particle that should be shot from the gun just shoots from near my models hips and is shot straight down regardless of how I angle it.

How do I fix this?

When I fix model in CATS the textures on the top half of the body go all washed out/white tinted. As if sphere texture had been deselected in MMD display.

Ok I was actually fiddling with the same model and figured it out, I think. With that shape key set as it is now, ie closed, click on that black down-facing triangle next to the + and - buttons by the shapekeys. From there, hit 'new shape from mix'. Once you have that new key, use the up/down arrows to bring it to the top, where it'll become the new basis.

Otherwise start pose mode and right click the right eye bone in pose mode (the one bone should turn blue) and then right click on the eye to select it as an object. Then hit ctrl tab to turn on weight painting. Click the plus icon in the vertex groups and name it Eye_R. Paint the eyeball red in weight painting and it should work.

It's a way to play D&D in VR. The DM chooses scenes for the player group to progress though and can inhabit any NPC in that scene.
Rolls are still done to check successes just like a normal game.
Combat would still be turn based, when it's your turn you would move yourself and then attack enemies or whatever.
It's way too complex for me to try to actually make but I can't stop thinking about how cool it would be.

those problems are after the unity upload, the red hologram is usually an upload error, try uploading it again and the invisible avatar is a server error, it fixes itself in a few days after the upload, I think what happens is that the uploaded avatars get into a queue of being uploaded to the servers and if there's a lot of them then the server can't process them and they just say "in queue" for others, but that's just my theory

A kind anon uploaded 3 or 4 unity packages a few threads back, check the archives and if the links are expired I'll upload them later they don't have any animation overrides set and I think only 1 is under 20k

So a model I'm working with has two different poses to use with the hands. Now, the weird part is I uploaded the model to mixamo or whatever it's called for rigging, and when the model showed up on the screen, he had no textures and it showed both models of his hands at the same time, overlapping each other. Is that normal? I'm gonna do the rigging manually, cause that site seems kinda shit, but, I'm worried the double hands thing is gonna be around when I upload the character.

It seems only some players can see the Nanacchi avatar I'm using, while others see me as forever queued. A googled forum post suggested bone removal, but that didn't seem to fix it.
