Then this shit kept happening, when I tried to delete the avatar with SDK. If this happens to you, then make sure you delete the SDK file in the assets folder in your saved file. Then just import a new SDK file. They corrupt it and it makes it difficult to open unity.

I was using a CM3D2 imported model, and tried making the hands longer with little success. Another problem I have, the model keeps stepping in place constantly, and if I set toes in the configuration for unity she stands up on her toes. In-game height options didn't help much, is that another proportion problem? Feet were at the correct height in blender/unity.

It's alright. I played for a good month with two sensors and the only problem might be you'll lose tracking if you turn 180 degrees away from ur sensors or you bodyblock the controllers.
The third one just gives you more freedom, but you can hop in with two for sure.

Not sure if you're already doing this but I recently switched to a 360 setup with 2 sensors (1 sensor front right and one behind you to the left) and it feels like I never really lose tracking unless I step out of the play area.

That being said I still get another one for a bit larger of a play area.

On an unrelated note,the first battle royale game mode in VR was actually for a criminally underrated and underplayed game called Bullets and More.

The RPG spawned on this particular game, and on top of a mountain to boot. While prone, I scouted out for any dots on the horizon until I found some guy poking out of the houses. THis was back when the game mode was new, so global alltalk and the shitposting that goes with it was still on.

I yell "CYKAAAAAAAAA" before letting the RPG rip with a god deafening boom. 5 seconds later, the RPG explodes inside a room, and a kill confirmed beep rings out along with an explosion rippling through the entire map that made everyone lose their sides in laughter.

Weight the clothes vertices itself on blender to the legs. It's the best most consistent way.
VRchat update rate for colliders are just pretty bad.

You can also fix it by having a custom animation instead of having weights and stuff you just add extra movable bones on the skirt that you move for your custom animation.

The previous is I argue much easier than the latter to do.

All these fucking texture atlasing questions. Look, it doesn't matter. You're in a room filled with 30 other people in it that all likely have avatars with 70k tris and 15 materials and unjoined meshes. The game will lag like a bitch even if you have a perfectly optimized avatar below 20k tris.

Do texture atlasing only if you have extra time and if you really want to do it for some reason. Otherwise just don't bother.

It only counts whats visible. So you can attach anything to an animation override. Obviously don't be dickhead and give your avatar a sword with 10000k tris attached to an animation override

That's normal, a triangle has 3 vertices so 20k tris multiplies 3 times is 60k vertices, it doesn't really matter to the performance.
