When I import my model to unity, every bone loses its weight. This model is weighted and poses without a problem in blender, it's a previously-working model with just a couple of minor changes to the mesh.

It's just a little thing about trapping.

Deleting certain vertices in blender causes the model to suddenly explode in bounds when imported into Unity. These are mostly out-of-sight vertices and I can reproduce the problem by just reloading the previous save and exporting before and after deleting those verts. Is there another step that should be performed in blender after deleting geometry and before exporting?

Yes, delete every single shapekey.
Those bounds are from how far your model blenders itself when you activate shapekeys, which break if you delete vertices. Not always from any vertex, but sometimes everytime.

Multithreading in general is very difficult. Unity 5.6 multithreading is garbage. It basically doesn't exist. 2018.1 Beta has the jobs system which makes multithreading brainlet status but upgrading to 2018.1 brings an entirely new set of problems along. It is a long-term goal and desperately wanted by basically everyone on the dev team, but there's a ton of problems. It isn't a pushbutton switch, at all.

Anyways pretty much everything on VRChat runs on one core.

-Have a world with a videosync player in it
-OPTIONAL: Find/talk to someone with an existing script/create a script that does dynamic redirecting to videos so you don't have to change the world every time you upload a new video to watch
-Transcode videos to MP4, h.264 720p video, stereo mp3 audio, web optimized. burn in subtitles if you're doing weeb shit
-Upload to some server-- I use bunnyCDN, pretty cheap CDN
-Put the URLs to the video in the videosync player (or the script, if you're using that)
-Upload the world with the URLs
-Open up a friends/friends+/invite/invite+/whatever world and watch your dumb crap

That's what the script is for. The script isn't in the map, it is hosted externally. Basically it is a node application that, given a JSON file and a parameter, redirects requests to endpoints to other files elsewhere on the internet. It also handles a few other things such as sanitizing YouTube links.

I use one that a VRChat dev wrote and shared with friends/early VRChat creators.

I think you can probably the right settings to sound vaguely male enough that people won't question it, people scrutinize male voices a lot less than they do female voices.
You will have to work with the voice changer though. Try to listen and pay attention to the speech patterns of men and women for a few days and you will probably hear some of the major differences that may help you mimic male speech a bit. Pay special attention to vowels.
