World is 120k tris, 2 meshes, 8 materials (before collision meshes and props). It's hard to know what's considered optimized for a world but it never dropped below 90 fps with 6 players in the instance so it should be fine for loading.

So I have a texture on my avatar that has alpha in it and it does not look right when I use the cutout render mode for the material. However, whenever I use the fade render mode, it makes the texture disappear in VRC, even though it looks the way it should in Unity.

On the texture file, I have use "input texture alpha" as the alpha source and "alpha is transparency" selected.

My process when I log in is I ignore the first t-pose prompt, go to menu and raise my height to 6'10" (i'm 5'11"), I swap avatars to the one I want and then line the legs up and hips center, pushing my waist out a bit so i dont slouch, and then hit the triggers to lock it in

After that I drop my height down to 6'4", it's all really fiddly

What mouth poses do I need to make for CATS to create the rest through visemes? I've got like a ton of lip bones to work with here. Eye posing's also gonna be a bitch since the eyes are flat planes behind the skin, not spherical.

The full process for me is:

- ensure eye and face tracking is off
- export with t-pose and textures
- edit skin texture to remove vagina
- combine the eye texture and highlight with the actual eye texture
- inport+fix model
- reparent and bones that are on the hips that shouldn't be
- re-orientate the finger tips
- remove unnecessary meshes like vagina and some of the face overlays that don't work
- remove some other meshes if still above 65k
- (optional) adjust the blush, drool, tears meshes so they show through skin properly at 100% shape key weight
- (optional) add a shape key to hide heart pupils if you have them
- create visemes with あ, う, い
- create eye tracking with with めばたき (ignore that it's not fully closed, it is in game) range 1
- weight paint the skirt to the right leg by:
-- select 1B, 2B, 3B vertex group
-- deselect 12B, 1A, 2A, 3A vertex groups
- assign to right leg
- repeat with left leg but with 1, 12, 11, and 2B
- join all meshes but face skin, eyebrows, skin alpha, heart pupils, and eyes
- atlas at 4k with 0.1 margin, 100% angle, 100% area weight
- repeat with eyebrows, skin alpha, heart pupils, and eyes
- join meshes and export to blender
- set all atlased textures to 4k, SRGBA 32 bit
- use noenoe shader for transparent material, 100% alpha, 1 intensity, 1 opacity
- opaque flat lit toon for face, raise face colour to white, alpha to 100%
- cut out flat lit toon for rest, alpha 100%, 0.5 cutoff
- check all bones are assigned properly in the rig

Then you just have to add your overrides, assign visemes, dynamic bones, etc.
Also, I should add that I only use a 50% weight when creating visemes, because then you can use 50% on mouth positions in overrides and it won't look bad when the lip sync position is added to it.

Memelov was free in alpha and was $9.99 compared to BAM's $14.99

YouTubers (probably paid by the dev) chose to do Memelov and got it more coverage. BAM has never had any YouTuber getting it coverage.

Memelov's graphics looks objectively better than BAM

Memelov had one gamemode, TDM for a long time. BAM's multiple gamemodes unfortunately made it lose focus. It has a zombie mode, CTF, regular DEATHMATCH FFA, and was technically the first VR FPS with a Battle Royale mode.

BAM is superior in all aspect (even has bipod snipers and LMGs that you can fire out of helicopters and humvees), but the fact that it's a Unity game and has the Unity look killed it.

I have a sound effect I attached to an animation that I put as an emote, and the sound effect isn't playing ingame (even though it plays when just running the animation in Unity locally). I even went to the point of putting the (active) audio source within an empty gameobject, and had the animation simply enable the gameobject, and that usually is the most surefire way to get things to work, but it still doesn't.

Bullets and More is a must-have title for any VR gamer.

It is a VR First-Person-Shooter that has tight, easy-to-learn gunplay with freedom of movement in the form of smooth locomotion (and a balanced teleport) and Climbey-like verticality set this game above other VRFPS games. You can crouch, prone, and climb ladders and handholds to attack and defend from any tactical angle.

Switch your hand to "closed" next to a gun, and you'll have that gun attached and aimed to that hand, ready at the trigger. Load up the magwells of an assault rifle such as the AKM, MK16, K5C and mow down your opponents. Harken back to the days of World War II with the M1 Garand and the Kar98k. Or even meet an old friend from Counter-Strike in the form of the L96 Arctic Warfare Police, also known as the AWP, and the Desert Eagle. There are 17 primary weapons and 6 secondary weapons to load out with along with three types of grenades and multiple attachments you can pick, choose, and even color/customize to your liking to really personalize your loadout. Every gun is balanced, and I can attest to the fact that I've seen every gun (Yes, even the Bow) top the scoreboards due to their user's skill.

Well, now you can have the one fun thing from those terrible, cheap, shovelware archery wave shooters and play it in an actual game with full locomotion. The multiplayer game modes consist of Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Classic Deathmatch, CTF, and Virus Infection (Zombies), and there are more than 20 maps available for players to choose and shoot it out (or eat brains) on. THe beauty is that many of these maps were made in the level editor itself by the community and turned into actual maps for the community to enjoy and play. There are even old classics from FPS history such as Halo: Combat Evolved's Battle Creek, Counter Strike's Dust2, Office, and Vertigo, and even CoD: Modern Warfare's Nuketown and Rust. There are loads of locales to choose from and play on. At peak time, there's always a good server on to play with others, and the player count goes up to 12! That's 2 more than Pavlov AND Onward!

THere is a bevy of single-player modes as well, such as Timed Target Shooting, Night Forest Survival (Night time wave shooter that takes place in a forest), Hologun (Holopoint with guns), Endless Breaching, Shooting Range, and the powerful Scene Editor where you can make your own multiplayer maps or single player scenarios by hand all in VR, and upload them to the workshop! You have access to all the tools that the sole developer uses to make maps, such as ladders, configurable AI with spawning behavior and difficulty, night-day, and even the ability to control whether ammo is infinite or limited!

The review is more of a kick at Pavlov

BAM does have it's weakpoints:

- Poor aesthetics. It's a Unity game that...looks like a Unity game. Uses pre-made assets from the Unity store. I always wondered how VRChat could have beautiful worlds but BAM looks the way it does
- Strange IK. The avatars are solid, but sometimes they do weird things like having your arms at a dumb angle. Doesn't help that you're permanently in the ready/firing pose.
- Lack of true custom map making. The reason Pavlov now has superior custom maps is that UE4 maps are made in a UE4 SDK. BAM's custom maps are made in it's map editor that is unfortunately limited by Unity store assets. Impressive in that you can make it in game, but it would be great to upload our Unity maps made in Unity or Blender to the game ala VRChat.
- Weak sounds. Some guns sound terrible, like the M249.

If the shots weren't fired, the first man behind the soda machines would have seen only our 2 shields moving up. We could have told you what we saw, and then you could move up and take them out.

Because the suppressed shots were fired, the enemy was alerted. Suppressed doesn't mean silenced. It just masks the direction of where the shots are coming from. Enemies can still hear it. Seeing as how it was so early in the round, there could be only 2 entrances into the subway where the shots are logically coming from. It was suppressed, but everyone in the immediate vicinity now knew we were coming down the stairs.

Huh? Isn't it the other way around? I mean you could almost literally just camp in any given spot on any given map as Volks and touch your diddle until a MARSOCK waltz by and shoot him when he leasts expects it. If more people actually payed attention to footsteps and Volks don't wander off from the Uplink then Volks definitely has advantage over MARSOCK in this regard.

If there's one thing MARSOCK do have a advantage in, it's the weaponry. For Volks, both rifles and smgs almost universally suck beside the G36 in terms of just about everything for points allocation, I used to have a lot of success with the AK74u but I haven't been using it much lately since people gotten better at stopping my flanking. MARSOCK's only bad ones are maybe the AUG, the M14, MP5 and I think the P90. Their other rifles particularly their AK is absolutely solid if you can find the right loadout that works best fot you.

MARSOC spawns are random. Volk doesn't know where their spawn is, but MARSOC knows that the Volk (smart ones that is) are near the uplink site.

Example is Quarantine, Volk always spawn near the uplink, but the MARSOC can spawn near roof or the gas station, then split off from there or go one direction together. Volk won't know, but the moment a MARSOC fires his gun to check if it's loaded, they will know.
