I have a model with a skirt that's invisible from below. Setting the texture to two-sided fixes it in blender but not unity, using flat-lit toon with a tinted outline fixes it but destroys the specular highlights. I think the best way to handle the situation in the future is for 1) the world owner to boot them 2) if that isn't working, they need to be votekicked, and 3) if the world owner and enough people are sleeping at the wheel that the kicks aren't working, someone needs to make a new friends+ world and people need to join them (no portals)

Yes, Dot caught a 21 day ban for crashing some streamers last night.
He was rather transparent about it and did announce it before doing it, but Dot is a (lovable) spaz like that.

I think this is a pretty good reason to at least talk about the situation and see if we can get everyone on the same page.
I'm not a leader and don't really have any way to make anyone listen to me but I hope that everyone will at least consider my plea to be a lot more careful and discerning with their crashers, there are much safer ways to get streamers out of our worlds that don't come with a risk of people getting banned.

Also, not to blame you or anyone here. But a lot of you guys are too beta to use the tools that are already ingame to prevent unwelcome people into the meetings. Wolrd owner, you spot a streamer? Instakick. Its not just your duty but everyone's, all Anons have to do is call the streamer out loud and start a vote kick to boot them out.
Dot will come back and it will depend on him if he wants to get himself permabanned or behave and stay. We also need to stop encouraging that behaviour of his.
Don't blame yourself for it either as it is VrG's fault as a whole. We all need to work together to prevent stupid results like this.

I should have given them the boot as soon as I was told they'd been streaming.
I am afraid of paranoid witch hunting as well as people trying to play gatekeeper. I don't really think that anyone has the right to play gatekeeper, especially when it comes to people who might be obnoxious but actually browse the thread.

Still not really sure how to handle those issues. I will strive to be more aggressive about booting confirmed streamers in the future, however.

Gatekeeping is bullshit, people who want to smack every new person is a problem. Though there is a healthy amount of asking people what they are doing here. As it happened yesterday if nobody asked that dumbass would have streamed all of the shit that happens at the meetups without fail. We have to ask people if they at the very least know what /vrg/ is and if they are streaming. If you are fine splitting the meetups into three separate groups that is your biz. My prerogative is to avoid this kind of bullshit before it gets bad, check how many randos there are, check if somebody is streaming. What you fail to remember is any random could decide they are "le reddit" and cap and report people, then some cuck like vrpill picks up the reports and boom we have active member banned and out of the meetups. We NEED to verify if people can accept the meetups as they happen as a salty splatoon 4chanesc place as well as check if they are streaming our asses.
