1- Does the eyebrow raise need to be an armature-based animation or a blend shape?

2- Please walk me through the steps of how to set up the gesture/animation override in Unity.

I use a Rode Smartlav+. Make sure you get the little adapter and the extension cable that Rode makes for it, then tape that shit up.

As someone who felt the same way and managed to break through, it takes a lot of courage. For me I try to act before I can think, since if I think about what might possibly go wrong I'm far less likely to actually act.
It's tough but I can't think of any better crowd to do it with at least. Even if you make a fool of yourself, stumble over your words, Freudian slip left and right, or any other social faux pas you can think of, if you can pick yourself up and keep going everyone will cheer you on.
