Anyone else think /vrg/ has truly gone downhill recently? Meetups are still fun and there's still certainly charm with hanging out with friends, but ideals that were openly reflected and held high, like apprehension towards blocking and reporting other /vrg/ members, originally created because of Dot being a little shit, have been completely forgotten as people openly get people like OG Abyssal 2 banned for toe-trodding.
The meetups have lost much of their seal to to the outside world, as ultranormies like Matsix wander into friends+ worlds and get nuntits and others banned for inappropriate behavior in what was supposed to be a /vrg/ instance.
Pro-Discord sentiment has reached a nearly 50/50 point despite the massive, overwhelming apprehension towards it originally.
Open Redditors wander around unmolested, with some even expressing former, unironic Tumblr roots and espousing their ideas without any blowback.
At this rate, we barely qualify as 4chan at all, with everyone constantly and consistently avatarfagging in the thread effectively destroying anonymity on half of the posts. Most of the users don't even have roots here anymore, they're just pickups, friends of friends, or completely new to the site.
Shitposting, a completely normal and healthy part of the site, has broken down to simple loops of the same three posts over and over for a hundred threads.
Users openly defile the thread, shittalk it, and shittalk the users who still believe the thread is to be followed and used as the primary discussion grounds, without repercussions.

There's not a huge amount to add on, but the three that I've had some one with are Ironwolf VR, Compound, and Skyrim VR for free.

Ironwolf is 4-person WW2 submarine sim and it's surprisingly entertaining to perform all the little roles around the ship with friends. It's still in early access and the devs have stated that they want PvP subs so hopefully the total players in one game might be less restrictive.

Compound is also a early access, but it's a pretty nice roomscale shooter. Simple but neat in practice.

And Skyrim VR is just Skyrim in VR. Don't spend the $$ if you don't have the special edition already, but if you do you can just download the VR files and play away. Entertaining to me for dumb things like "realistic sneaking" where you have to physically squat to stealth.

what determines the position of the balls for the feet trackers? from what i am told and can tell, they work the best if the balls are located on your avatar just like your trackers are on your actual body, so generally on the feet.
But some of my avatars its almost at my knees while some others are just perfectly positioned.

Oh, some protips since you're going to be a fellow riftcuck: don't sign up for an oculus account through facebook, use a fake name and throwaway email. The stupid "store" interface shows whatever "real name" you enter in big letters at all times, so you can dox yourself in Bigscreen if you aren't careful. Plus, the zucc doesn't need any more of your personal data than he already has.

There's a really cool final fantasy boss battle map. You buy lighthouses and trackers to go with the Rift set, then change two settings in a config file to make them compatible, connect a tracker while steamVR is open, then it fucks up your playspace and put you below the ground, so you set it to a standing playspace, but the trackers are orientated to a completely different space so you have to manually edit the yaw and X/Y/Z position until they are lined up with the Rift play space. That tool is meant to automatically calculate the yaw and translation by just swinging the tracker and left Rift controller around together. I use center marker and boundaries always on in SteamVR, unless I'm in VRchat or Custom Maid, then I turn everything off. The Cculus ones are totally useless; tried playing Pavlov earier which no longer has Steam overlay on Rift and I have no idea where I am and frequently have shit flashing in my face because I don't know where the walls are until I've already hit them.

No, for me it was fucked all around. No matter what I was doing it was popping and crackling like crazy. If its just VRChat, it would try verifying the game cache. If its still fucked, try reinstalling the game, if its STILL fucked, reinstall the oculus software. if its STILLL fucked, you might have the same issue that I do
