From the collective sound of things, last night's beta test was disappointing.

It's a bit of a step beyond the level Zachtronics usually shoots for I feel for anything involving a physical space to work in but it could be alright. Honestly Rift FBT is a workaround; don't buy a rift if you really want high quality FBT. Vive pucks might run out of batteries whenever you sneeze, but you can turn and move freely in your playspace with tracking.

On Rift you need a Kinect to get FBT and it only works when you face the camera. It's more economical and it doesn't require batteries, but the tradeoff is serious.

Full idort Rift + Trackers is a thing, but I dare not speak on the matters of the divine, mere mortal I am. I hear it can be a bitch to get it to play nice though and you are looking at Cameras, Lighthouses and Pucks all at once. It's a kludge stacked on jank wrapped up in a prayer to the machine spirits.
