I haven't paid attention to the jap TDA makers, I assume you mean the ones that are irritated about their avatars being used? Talking to people in game, you import models from the niconico 3D library or something, and there they are marked as allowed for third party use or not, so perhaps they have a regulatory system inbuilt?
I didn't find anyone who was standoffish though, they all tried very hard to speak English, or to do funny things.
It's very subdued compared to VRChat, and perhaps less expressive. There's this mixture of socialising and interaction with the audience, or playing to the audience. There's always a single room owner (and I think it's p2p as some servers were impossibly laggy), and in most cases the room owner pays a lot of attention to the stream. This also means everything seems rather tame, there wasn't much innuendo or anything that I could catch.
One stream was an exception though, I found the VRCast equivalent of a Twitch thot. A guy in a room, with a voice changer, and an avatar with no panties and a loose top (i.e. you could see the breasts and nipples from an oblique angle). He would drop snowballs on the floor, bend over in various ways to lewd the stream, and then trigger embarrassed facial expression and try to act cute and embarrassed to the stream. Faggy af.
