A freak electrical accident turns an everyday computer networking employee, Annie May, into a new universe where FourthChat is real. You should concern yourself with overall time per frame, not drawcalls. The number of drawcalls is a decent proxy for impact, but cloth and dynamic bones and overall number of bones hurt because of the cpu time they take to calculate per frame, not gpu draw calls.

Cloth can be pretty efficient compared to dynamic bones because it runs off the main thread, but it's still heavy, and requires a separate skinned mesh. If you want real information on impact of various features, use the unity profiler yourself.

Merging two armatures in blender and everything is fine except that the materials for one of them(Clothing) doesn't appear becoming a pink blob, when I select the usual find missing files thing for the clothes texture folder nothing happens and it just says cant find files. Was looking at making a CM3D2 avatar, but the shadows in the clothes and hair make it look pretty bad in certain places. Looking at other anons' custom maids they don't seem to have the shadow problem.

Anyone here familiar with the PSVR? Is there a reason why 360/180 VR videos look so awful in the headset but look just fine on the TV? Is it the poor resolution? What's shown on the headset looks nothing like what I see on the TV being outputted to the PSVR. Same with TrinusVR on my PC, Project Cars 2 looks terrible on the headset but decent on the screen.

I'd love for more people to get Contractors, ONCE it gets lobbies. Which I found out hardly a hour ago that supposedly it will not be long before we get a lobby system. In fact we might get lobbies within the next 2 weeks. As it stands, you can only squad up with 4 other people and the last time we tried to play together, it didn't work out at all. All I think is the lack of lobbies made it DOA at least vrg wise. Since if 10 people wanted to play together we'd have to make 2 separate squads, which means we won't get a regular 5v5 going. I thought of a solution to this before. Have using the injured limb induce absolutely debilitating visual effects. Like, if you get shot in the leg and continue standing, your vision gets more and more fucked up until you lie down, but if you go closer to the ground it fades. If you get shot in the arm, your vision gets fucked up while you use that hand for anything.

You can do it with trackers. You can even replace the model with the model of a chair. Obviously not ideal to spend so much month for this function. The problem with a sticker would be for the lighthouse system, it would require at least the ability to send information to a receiver, and the constellation system is already somewhat overloaded with three tracked objects.

there are actually ways to do this without trackers.
The Liv streaming client uses an xyz setup system to put a "virtual" camera in the steamVR dashboard that you can see. You do it by clicking three points on a webcam view with your controller, so that it can triangulate it's REAL position in space and overlay you into it.
Steam does this automatically with the lighthouse positions too.
So using software you could "define" where your chair is and put it in your steamVR home environment.
HOWEVER: it's even easier just to make your own steamVR dashboard environment have a chair, and in oculus dash/home you can do the same.
Personally all I do is use steamvr roomscale setup on advanced mode and define where my ikea klippan couch is by cutting a little box in the tracking volume. It's not part of the roomscale safe "square" but I can easily see where it is if I just go to the edge of the playspace, and sit down. You can do the same with your desk by making a little "notch" where it is, then it's always easy to find.
I actually put a request in the vrchat canny for "define chair" - it would be nice to be able to pin "local only" objects so that when you sit in a chair in game the game would overlay your defined meatspace and allow you to sit down before giving you back upper body control.

have you guys checked these out yet? SteamVR home is unironically the fastest and best performing virtual world app, and it's almost as easy to get shit into as vrchat is. Plus steam explicitly allows 18+ full frontal nudity now.
Unfortunately, I don't think they've added custom avatar building yet, still just the dumb hats and shapes. Even still, I managed to make some cute little blockhead guy.
If they added the ability to import your own models it might usurp vrchat if enough people used it.
It's also the only source2 vr client besides dota2
