The fill factor difference is dramatic, but the S has a lot more banding. Text is easier to read and the image doesn't smear around the edges so much. A little more detail shows in small objects. The scenes have completely different lighting, so maybe the color differences are just from the screenshots being taken at different times with flashing lights and animated steam. The big vertical light stripes certainly don't look intentional, but I'm not sure how that's supposed to look.

I'd have to see it in person to tell how much of a problem the banding would be. The fill factor gives the S a solid victory, but I'd expect more from three years of progress.

Bit late to the slime party but I think the solution was to make sure there was no texture in the albedo and that there was some degree of alpha to the colour.
You can change the rim light blend setting to like 0.55 to get that white outline a bit thinner too.

Make connections outside of vrg, as weird as that sounds. have more than one group to hang out with.

granted this is one area in which vrchat is lacking, as it's often real hard to keep distinct separations between groups without explicitly telling people "dont join off of me" (half the time I set my status to red when with non vrgers, people join anyway)

also, there's something to be said for the magic being gone. When you first get into vrchat there's this wow factor. but once youve squeezed dry the new, it just becomes another social game.

Go to the SEA anime nights posted in the thread SEA Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights. Either on time to catch the anime or an hour late to skip the anime and just join for vrchat shenanigans.
This weekend it's going to be some Startrek bridge for the people who have it and another session of VR war thunder i'm pretty sure.
Next weekend we are doing the Swords of Gargantua beta because we all signed up for it.
We do post about it in the thread but most of SEA already know about it and join us or have their own crew inner circle they're usually hanging out with during our events.
