The other trick is setting your in game height shorter than real life from VRChat settings which adjusts the proportions too, I've got it set about 10cm shorter than my actual height to compensate overly long legs. Downside to this is that if you stretch your arm out it will yank your avatar's head and torso out of sync from your viewball.

You also need to use playspace mover to actually move yourself so that your hands, head and feet match the avatar's hands, head and feet when calibrating fbt in game. For best comfort you should try to get your feet and hand trackers line up with the avatar's feet and hands and your head to line up with the viewball. I've found that avatars may feel comfy even if your hip doesn't line up with avatar's hip.

Adjusting the height and arm span in blender is important for making fbt work semi-comfortably. I'm not sure about ideal proportions, I just fiddled around with it until it started working out for me. It's gonna be kind of shitty in any case since VRChat allows viewball to get desynced from your avatar's head. fixittupper

It seems that everybody deals with height settings in their own way. Some use their real height, some use lower height and some tweak height before and after getting in avatar. I have a slightly lower height in game and also like to bend my knees ever so slightly while calibrating to avoid bendy knees.

The notes don't look like fucking dogshit, for one. The game has an actual genre browser, you don't even have to waste time downloading songs and adding them to your library, and I'm pretty sure it's just using embedded youtube so there aren't even any copyright issues.

The note stream is clean and stretches on more than 5 feet in front of your face so you can prepare better, the level design is visually interesting with a winding path you're propelled along, the only real issues are that it's a pretty early release so things like scoring aren't quite there yet.

Plus you can switch to punch mode for a change of pace.

Going to try the Rift S tomorrow. I have enough confidence in my experience of VR hardware, and in my dedication to gobbling up literally all information on VR available, that I will say I basically know what to expect from it. But nonetheless, I will try it, and I think I'll probably like it and prefer it over the Rift.

It's cool we decided to move the event proper to saturday so more people can be online for the group photo.

Thinking of having a special map that will pit PC vs QUEST users in a pvp map that is divided among the quest and pc users.

Respawn and span areas are different for the quest and pc users. Wonder how hard that will be to make before saturday. It might be easy enough or it might be hard but it'l be fun if that gets made and we confirm that we have enough actual quest users to fight with.

Since I own this game and all DLC I can rip the assets and they're pretty easy to work with in blender; Someone else here even worked on a shader to give the outfits the same look in unity. I don't think anyone has any interest here but if you do just DM me and I can give you one of the outfits in the link above. The hair is a bit trickier since I'll have to make a collage for it but soon enough I'll post that. I also have my own method for colorizing the textures but I'll get into that in another writeup tutorial, if anyone wants it.

Taking no damage doesn't give you extra points. You just don't get any deducted from your score.
Highest score so far i took a little bit of damage but I got a really high combo percentage score. Currently sitting at global rank 11 with 911k score.
Seems like only way to get higher scores is to increase the "Enemies defeated" score which i think is actually linked to how many hits you get on guys because the quantity of enemies is the same each time but the score changes. Or the combo percentage score which is the quantity of green bubbles hit after parrying.
No idea how they are getting the 9999999 scores but the competition is over the first guy to get the 9999999 score won it.
I suspect the high scores is them spending an hour or more on a single stage parrying attacks then throwing knives or something like that.

Yes, and? Unless those assets have been made 100% yourself from scratch I don't see why you would care. Loving the game. My side muscles and shoulders are really sore from all the slashing.
The dodging mechanic has grown on me and it feels really natural to physically dodge now.
The game has 40 weapons to unlock by the looks of it so I'm hoping for plenty of content and more challenging fights. I can already tell fighting two or more Tank General's at the same time would be really fun.
