The 2 biggest takeaways are that
1) Multiplayer is live and available.
2) The entire games speed has been raised x1.5 everything is faster across the board (watch out Khuy!).
3) Boost has been changed so that you cannot boost unless at minimum temperature.

The knuckles implementation is pretty nice. The finger tracking works better than vrchat. The transitions just feel smoother more accurate and the thumb is accurately tracked to multiple positions on the controller and not just the one button like in vrchat.

I actually played some VR games today

Doom VFR - Okay. Maps are way too small. It's a flat game pushed onto VR so it just feels like the flat game is a better experience.

BallisticNG - Wipeout clone. Had to set some settings to make it actually VR friendly (having the cockpit tilt around you sucks). Lacks depth.

Redout Enhanced Edition - Fast racer. I liked it and it felt like it had more depth even if the UI was worse.

Seated mode in vivecraft is awkward, but doable. It's free look but with keyboard controls and mouse menus.

For the shader, there are probably other ones that work. You can also turn down the settings in the shader options, like decreasing the shadow resolution to 0.5x

Audica is alright, didn't take long to get used to expert. It has about 4 hours of content in the base game OST so it's probably not worth the 20$ right now. I received the game for free from a guy shilling in a beat saber mapping group.
When pressing on community maps in-game it gives a discord link to harmonix, and as of right now the community maps channel has a pitiful amount of three (3) custom songs in it.
The unofficial Audica modding group was in a slightly better position with about 80 custom songs. I can see now why there was a shilling attempt

After a lot of trouble, I figured out how to successfully connect to the vrgcraft server using a cracked account. here are the steps:

1. Download the MultiMCCrack.7z from the /mcg/ OP, extract somewhere
2. run MultiMC.exe. Create a new instance, version 1.13.2 vanilla
3. It'll ask you to add a new profile. do so, enter any random thing in as user/pass, it'll just work.
4. Launch your new instance, it'll download all the jars and stuff. Not in VR yet, just desktop. Close the game and close multimc.
5. Run the vivecraft installer, point the path to minecraft to the multimccrack dir (pictured). When you hit install, it'll give you an option to select multimc instance. (should be the one you just created)
6. reopen multiMC, then click the "Launch Offline" button, not the regular Launch button. It'll prompt you to login to your profile account (enter whatever), but then it'll ask you for your offline player name. Make sure to change this to something that's less than 20 characters long, and (IMPORTANT) not an existing minecraft account name.
7. It'll launch, in vr this time.
8. Go to multiplayer, add vrgcraft.space and login. If you chose a player name longer than 20 characters you'll get a cryptic message about bad packets, and if you choose a name that's already a minecraft account (anything common) then it'll just hang until you get "took too long to login".
9. Once you're in game, you'll be frozen in place. open up the chat (left menu button on vive, Y on rift), type `/register <somepass>`. Then it should say registered and you can move. You'll have to remember the password and do `/login <pass>` next time you connect.

The server is already up 24/7 if you can't make the ""grand opening"", but it'll be more fun to explore the new world in a group I think.

If you've never played minecraft somehow, it's a solid video game with VR support, and if you have played minecraft but dropped it years ago, VR adds a lot of the magic back. I encourage you to try it out singleplayer first to figure out the controls in vivecraft (and tweak if necessary), even if you don't want to play on the server.

The server is vanilla 1.13.2, but vivecraft itself works with 1.12.2 and most mods http://www.vivecraft.org/forge-mod-compatibility/. I was able to load FTB revelation and messed around a bit. Anything menu-heavy is going to be annoying to manipulate in VR, but immersive stuff would be cool I think. I've not played any modded minecraft personally.

Decided to switch to Nonoe's pens since snail markers are for avatars. They're pretty bad for what I need, which is to draw a battlemap that you can stand in, because the particles are super tiny and sparse. Nobody seems to know how to do line renderer pens. Aside from that, I need music, a good skybox, and either revamp the walls to be more than just a flat plane or get a lot of posters decorating everything.

Hi! My girlfriend has selective mutism, and we've both been really interested in VR. (since its a long distance relationship.) I was wondering if there is an option for keyboard/text input for instead of voice for VR chat? If so, is there any headset recommendations that can make this easier? (ex: Oculus quest, HTC vice etc) Thank you so much, it'd help a lot if someone can help us with this, as we're not very into VR just yet.
