The sense of scale and depth and 360 turn around freedome really adds a lot. Even the ability to swing in real life to chop down a tree or attack an enemy or block an enemy arrow by actually aising your shield to block the projectile manually.

It's a whole different better game by the virtue of being VR. The houses and buildings you build feels more real and the sense of accomplishment is better due to actually feeling like you built something grand. The claustrophobic nature of the dungeons as well is great.

You can't invite friends without turning your VR controller on first and then inviting and turning off again (or your gamepad won't work)
There's a giant grey box covering almost all the screen during loading screens and some other times
The gamepad won't work at the start of a race until you turn on your VR controller and turn it off again, thus missing the first 5 seconds or so of the race
After the race the host can't do anything and has to leave and remake (I think, I wasn't hosting)

I think that's steamvr problems with the inviting.
The gamepad not working is from alt-tabing out and back into the game i fix it by clicking the screen with my mouse because it happens whenever i check discord messages in between races.
You don't need to remake the lobby. There's a bug to do with their weird 3D world space ui setup they have. You need to look down and behind you until you hear ui noises and then just use the thumbstick or arrow keys and it will be fixed. It's weird i need to record it happening and post it in the official discord.
Bananers had problems with the visuals due to AA and artifacts due to ASW and changed some config files to make it better.

-Uzi shines when dual wielded, and can rival rifles with ttk without the risk of feeding the enemy team guns- 500$ is still more than the other SMGs, but 600$ made it one of the highest paying weapons.
-G3 sucks ass and is heavily outclassed for it's price by any rifle and even stuff like the deagle and especially revolver- this makes it pay out at least 0$ with a grip and dot instead of taking money away every kill, even after this it will still be a very lackluster pick.
-Kar98 is a similar category to the G3 and is just a shitty weapon in general, entirely outclassed by the revolver and heavily outclassed by the deagle- having it pay slightly more might make it a bit better, but it's still piss poor.
-Saiga is ridiculously hit or miss and extremely expensive. This makes it a bit cheaper- slightly less than a fully kitted rifle, but reduces the payout slightly due to it inherently being a bit of a shitter cannon.
-Deagle is a consistently good weapon throughout the game, and having it pay out a lot just reinforces that- this is a meagre nerf, mostly a proxy buff for the revolver to separate the two slightly.
-AK has an awful TTK on torso, outclassed by almost any SMG, but having it leave them with ~20hp left after 3 hits is almost tauntingly bad if you fail the kill. This leave them marginally more injured, but doesn't change the shots to kill whatsoever.

-Awp is the de-facto cancer gun in any version of Pavlov so far- without the hipfire inaccuracy of CS, anyone good at hipfiring and quickly pulling the bolt can easily wipe entire teams without breaking a sweat. This reduces it to 98 damage against a full-HP opponent and fully strips whatever armor they have, instant killing them if they don't have armor. This leave them vulnerable enough to die to a flashbang, but the AWP user could still get taken down before the second shot/drawing a handgun. This basically just stops the awp user from singlehandedly being able to contest a point by himself, as one player could easily cover a large angle and kill anyone who enters instantly with fairly minimal risk to himself. -P90 got whacked with the nerf bat extremely hard by Dave with an awful recoil pattern. It's still competitive damage-wise, but paid out less and was harder to use than other SMGs. This just brings the payout to equal the other, cheaper guns.
-Revolver was a bit of a long-time sleeper cannon- it's been overpowered for a while, but never saw heavy use. Once the big bore handgun as main weapon meme spread, it became even more glaringly obvious that it outclasses almost every cheap gun- why buy a range-limited shotgun when you can double tap with a revolver for half the price and have a pocket sniper at the same time? Price reduced slightly and payout edges out over the Deagle to make it a bit more relevant, but this forces it to be a backup or cleanup gun later in the game rather than a primary weapon. Still twoshots unarmored, and does heavy armor damage now too.
-Knives are never used to stab, just thrown blindly. I would penalize thrown knife payout more if I could, but I can't, so I put the payout in the middle of the road.

T300RS is a bit more, but it's got better force feedback and better pedals. Supposedly it's the best entry level option.
G29/G920 is the cheapest option if you care about having a shifter. I've got a G29, and I really like it.

To everyone that came or followed the AX VRLG meetup: The con is over, the airbnb is checked-out of, and everyone is back home or well on their way.

In short… It was an amazing trip.
At length… This trip was everything that I personally could have hoped for and then some.

Everyone was awesome and friendly, and all of you that came were wonderful to spend time with. A crazy alcoholic fueled crowd, no lie that includes me, but good fucking people too, all of ya. We had an airbnb full of good conversation, amazing cuddles, lots of drink, smoke and other fun substances, silly shenanigans, and other adventures of all kinds. It just… Well…. Felt like VRC. Which is 100% the vibe I was going for: an amazingly comfortable environment for us to relax and have fun in, not in VR potentially thousands of miles apart, but with each other, in real personal space and in a crazy city full of stuff to do.

There were so many amazing moments from the trip that I was going to list but there’s just too many to fit! Every. Single. One of you have a special place in my memories of this trip. Everyone had an impact and contribution, both the BOIIS and the many different amazing people that came over to visit. Every night was crazy fun and the days were adventure filled, either at the con or around the city; they all have a special place in my memories too. It just felt perfect. I’m sure it’s the same for all of us that went!

Also I wanna thank each and everyone one of you that helped contribute funds to the bnb, the food, the drinks, lyft and uber rides, the dinner, and more. This trip would not have been possible without all of us coming together and making this happen! Finally, I'll be making a google drive folder full of all the photos from the trip in the next day or two~~

So here’s to another amazing IRL meetup in the months to come, be it next year or sooner, at AX or elsewhere! Nya~

Better map rotation for Single player mode. Current single player maps will rotate more frequently to keep the single player arenas feel more varied.

We’re making a new event type that is more inclusive of all players. We’ll have personal and global achievements which gives players a new way to unlock current weapons as well as future weapons.

Autumn / Fall

Currently in the planning a new mode code named Adventure Mode (placeholder name). This mode (for both single and multiplayer) will give players the experience of regular game play in a new rogue-lite scenario. The goal of this mode is to give players a more varied challenge per stage. More details about this mode as we move forward.

We’re adding more helmets and body armor of users to choose from as well as color options to give players more individuality when fighting with friends!
