I think these are a few games some people could adopt if they cared to start hosting. Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly etc doesn't really matter how frequently it's done as long as it's scheduled. More people hosting is always a good thing I think brings more life to the general and is always fun to do something different.

I anticipate it will be as from what I have seen it appears to be making good progress and about at the timeline I had personally predicted.

Currently however, there's not a lot to do and very little uploaded content, thus why the store page looks very bland. Right now all you have is basic uploads for maps and avatars, mirrors, FBT IK, VOIP, Visemes and Index hand tracking. You have to connect to servers via Direct IP. Still just below feature parity with VRchat, but it runs substantially better.
Next major update should include the friends system, which will make joining on each other much easier and will hopefully also add in first iteration of lua scripting, so we can start making real game modes and murder each other for fun. Gesture system for WMR, Rift and Vive should be around that time as well, allowing for more hand gestures and facial expressions.

The 29th still won't be quite at VRchat parity I feel, but should be soon, along with features VRchat doesn't have.

It's apparently mostly ready, but not quite in some way. I think the UI infrastructure needed to actually spawn props and SDK support is missing still. I'd anticipate it to be done before launch, possibly this weekend, but I don't know what all is being worked on currently. that's not how coding works at all. thing you should be afraid of is your lack of understanding of basic concepts behind coding, which will result in your code being unreadable, undebuggable, clunky, and most likely very slow. i have no idea how to go around it without just getting some experience in coding

after you'll get the concept of basic algorithms, read something on OOP, about good code practices, how to write testable code (you won't have to test anything because it's amateur project so yolo, but your code will look better if it follows this kind of rules), and then try figuring something out. don't be afraid to scrap everything either, re-do your project over and over until you're satisfied, always assume that you're still learning and you're aiming to learn rather than to make the game


good luck. you can push your badly written project very, very far even if it's a tremendous turd code-wise as long as you have enough autism to live with your own incompetence, so you might enjoy the ride
