One of the first things they showed was telekinesis grabbing guns and shit off the floor so you didn't have to bend down. The zip and snap looks really satisfying which is a bit better than BnS's telekinesis which slows down the closer it gets to your hand. I don't mind the lack of realism in what you can do but I do like realistic physics with casual interaction with the world. Nutted every time he shoved open a door. Big ass buttons you slap with an open palm are great too. Simple things working well go further than really complex things.
As for ammo and inventory disappearing, the ammo I don't really mind depending on how many enemies they are going to throw at you. If there's just going to be absolute shitloads of them and lots of firefights, then yeah gimme shitloads of ammo and make it really easy to reload in a pinch. If it's going to be sneaking and plinking a couple at a time then the immersion of managing mags and counting rounds is great. Think I guess SWAT versus Half Life.

Atoll of Ether has a Night mode now, you can swap between Day and Night with a button at spawn. It swaps lightmaps, so it will have no impact on performance.

Hi, a week or so ago, I posted about a game called Dement, I really don't know if it's worth the current price, only because it's Early Access and I know people shy away from that stuff.
If you're looking for Silent Hill, this is definitely the same vibe, except melee is almost out of the question. Going face-to-face with several monsters is basically a death wish.
It's scary as hell, but when you try and sneak past enemy and refuse to use your bullets, expect to try that tactic over and over.
Utilizes the swing mechanic, only a certain speed actually doing damage, and the common enemy is fast as hell.
Wait for a sale, hell, wait for a download. These are just my two cents after playing it.
I'm shilling, but only because I wanted this kind of game for a while.

New steamvr update made letting go of grip really weird in some games. It's an easy fix, I'm assuming it's due to them adding a new variable to play with. Just go into SteamVR controller settings and edit the "use as grab" on grip and then the gear icon. It'll likey have proximity at 0 for release. Move it to something comfortable to you; force 20 is mine. Of course, do it on both controllers. That should fix it.

Discord has been overall bad for the community, but it was inevitable. Everyone has an account, including those screaming about how terrible it is.
You can't really lay it at the feet of the official discord or the soccer discord, it began with the inner circle chat groups that evolved into inner circle discords, that evolved into soccer, that evolved into where are today.
It was inevitable because people wanted to talk outside of the game, and that's not really an evil impulse. People want to be together.
It did take some life out of vrchat, which sucks a lot, but it was just an inevitability in the end.

I abstained on the vote, didn't really care or see much point in getting involved.
Ironically, a lot of the people who currently rail against Discord were pro-discord when the official server was being discussed. Jelly specifically was a strong proponent of discord until he realized he wasn't getting a mod spot.

Well for myself, I'd much prefer a Harvest Moon style game before Rune Factory style.
Get the bread and butter farming stuff as a the focus and emphasize the relaxed and chill atmosphere before adding in any combat.

One that works, then add in the fighting, monster taming, and so on so forth.
Keep the ability to throw gifts at other people though. I wanna chuck pancakes myself.

Problem with battleroyal mode becomes apparent very fast. The people that dies first waits in the lobby room wayyy too long to enjoy the game.

The sprint room is limited to only 4 players. Need to pre-plan the rooms before hand unlike in vrchat. There's still no way of knowing how many people max a room, can carry.
