Just got an official Quest Link cable in the mail and literally all of the issues I was having before with the cheaper cables on Amazon have disappeared. there's a button in the game menu to do matchmaking, which just groups people up into a lobby and then you can vote on a gamemode. The entire game population will likely be <6 so that works. There's also private lobbies but you have to be friends on ubisoft's shitty client so it's more hassle than it's worth.

Those all looked on the high end of hard to me. Do you know what maps the model was trained on? I wonder if it could be improved by retraining like you mentioned. Surprisingly no. There's like one song from the series mapped and it's done terribly.
The beginning section of that map look pretty alright at least but the rest was slow. I could see this tool being pretty useful for map design. You could generate a bunch of samples with interesting patterns and pull them into something cohesive.

github has their pretrained model parameters for download (which I used), as well as some tweaking hints and retraining instructions https://github.com/oxai/deepsaber . apparently it was trained on the entire beatsaver corpus as of last year sometime. It uses the output of the dance dance convolution NN https://github.com/chrisdonahue/ddc , which was trained on other songs, so weebshit probably does work better in general.

As for getting it running, it should work pretty out of the box on linux using their instructions. I had to make a few minor code changes for windows+anaconda, as well as running the shell script manually. I'll make a PR with my changes for windows, and some more detailed instructions.
