What is a viseme? If someone can explain. What does "sil" mean and "PP" and "FF"? Are they like the sound one makes with their mouth? Also what should I do here? The model doesn't have stuff that seems similar and since I can't preview what each thing does, I don't know what to pair it with.

Ok another question. I made a quick image here. There's these custom standing and sitting animations, but they aren't prefab'd into the model. I tried dragging the stand animation in there. No dice. When I dragged the Override, that worked. What are the difference between these two? Is the override like a list of animations on what to replace? If so, how do you create one of these yourself? In the vrcSDK folder there's something called emptycustomoverride. Duplicate that and drag it onto both of the custom standing and idle anim. On the one you duplicated you can add emotes and animations to your avatar. Do watch a tutorial though since it's too much to explain, it'd probably be easier to understand too.

It's loads of fun at first and then some, if you like MMO style grind and carrots. The carrots just keep getting bigger and if you like base building, building farms and making planets into your bitch then yeah. Just don't look for too deeply for a real space sim. However it is fun now with online when you go into hubs and see all the other players and then they notice you have VR. They all surround you 'cos you can move your hands and shit.

Also cockpiting is hard but satisfying. I haven't tried the mecks yet that they added. Should be fun as fuck though. NMS is actually a decent game now especially if you have autism for resource management, making credits and farming every little inch of a planet and running errands. MMO style basically, just that most of it is just you.

It's a well done VR game though.

Visemes are blendshapes/shapekeys for the various mouth-poses a person makes when speaking, vrchat uses them for lipsyncing. Most complete avatar-type models will come with them and they just have to be assigned in the avatar descriptor. VRchat accepts pretty much all of them but if you give cats blender plugin AH, OH and CH it will generate good-enough approximations of the rest if your original model only has a few or you're making them from scratch and want to save time.

Udon wooden poker update: I squashed a few major oversights in the syncing system where a local data race would prevent tiles from being broadcast in certain circumstances; I think this will fix most of the inconsistencies where e.g. tiles snapping back into the wall. Also fixed the weird issue with discards turning sideways, which was caused by my poor understanding of euler angle rotations and gimbal lock. I also removed the system that relied on server timestamps, which after thinking through the implications, turned out not to be necessary, which also fixes some edge cases.

On the feature side, I ripped the the scoring system from the other map with physical poker chips that are added up for you. The sticks use the same syncing system as the tiles so all 68 sticks will eventually make it across the network, even with full rigidbody physics. Also added some not-quite-fitting ambient river sounds to break the silence; I looked briefly for tile clacking sounds to add, but couldn't find any.
