I was going to take another crack at a CM3D2 to VRC tutorial video. Step by step I reckon I could get it down to a 2 minute video that covers everything in only as much detail as you need to do it. Hyper beginner that has never uploaded an avatar before might be a bit of a challenge because I've been doing this for so long. It has reached the stage that how to install and set up the vrc sdk is so simple and basic that I would completely gloss over it.
Also I still use blender 2.79 so I don't really want to update. I imagine it's much the same but for a beginner the UI and hotkeys might be too different for them to find the equivalent.

I had a dream a few days ago that I was in a /vrg/ meetup.

It was like an audience stand and there were like a few rows of people in front of me, all in anime avatars of course and a few in some weirdo ones. I am tall so the dream put me all the way at the back row, like it was real life. The scene in my mind didn't move around like in VR, you know with a UI or with people standing like robots if they had no VR. Everyone moved like it was real life, naturally and smoothly. One of the guys in front of me said "here he is" while pointing at me, whispering it loudly to some other anons in front of him. The front row turned back to look at me and smiled and I heard murmuring of "the new guy". It felt awkward as fuck but I waved a little. Then the stage lit up and some guy came up and started introducing the program we were doing. He even stated something along the lines of "we have someone new in the audience" and again the few in the front turned around and almost grinned in anticipation to grill me and the weird looking guy said "hey he means you". My natural instinct would've been to stand up and introduce myself, but in the dream I didn't. The guy in the stage saw that I withdrew a little, nodded and continued the show. Whatever the show was I don't know.

Thinking about, I now also remember Elite Dangerous wasn't too bad and I know that game has VR.
Based on the demo, Beat Saber seems like a good rhythm game and makes me wonder what else you can do with VR. Didn't feel like a Wii game too me; felt like what Wii wishes it could be.

Other than that, I dunno I'm looking into things. I'm really fucking annoyed how terrible they are at marketing decent and newer games. There was a Doom/Half-Life-ish (sci-fi?) looking shooter game I found on YouTube years ago when I had to be Rift that sounded really cool, but I found it in only this one review and now have no idea what it's name was or anything. Based on the review it sounded like this could be the VR equivalent of an AAA game, but no. Just leave the demo-y, shit, the indies, the (decent, but still) rythmn game, the music videos, and the fucking awful god game demo up.
Like what the fuck. So, currently, I'm trying to do their marketing team's job for them and look up different reviews. I don't get motion sickness and find the teleporting thing to not necessarily be ideal, so I'm currently just deliberately trying to look into games people were disappointed they couldn't play because it made them sick.
So far, I find Dreadhalls. Some people seemed to like it, but it kinda just looks like all you do is walk around procedurally generated (lazy in this context for damn sure...) halls waiting for an easy jumpscare to happen.

There's still some other games I can look into. But man I never realized how dependant I was on proper marketing strategies because I keep fucking forgetting what I want to even play and often ends with me forgetting VR even has any goddamn games.

I know there's the Vive but that's easily $1k+ and you need 3 base stations.
I saw the Nolo VR for about $200.
I think it can be gimped if i buy 2 old rift controllers and pair them as vive trackers.
I hear kinect + mixed reality is good but you can't spin.
Also how are the old mixed reality headsets (lenovo explorer etc.) doing. Last time i asked a friend and he told me dont bother as many features in VR games are disabled or not supported for those headsets.

Pavlov beta update added limited ammo as a custom server option (done is probably the most goofy way possible, with boxes of cartridges on your chest).

You can also remove attachments / give them to others, as well as move them along the rails for whatever reason.

There's also a custom server listed with a passcode required, which wasn't listed in their announcement so no idea if that's gonna stick.
