There's also a complete lack of realtime shadows anywhere, not even a blob shadow on the players as a performance fallback. Just a static environment and low-rez lightmap to give some semblance of AO/not looking fullbright. I use pic related for my trackers and other devices and they work fine, not had issues since I first used them with my phone about a year ago. A lot of these cables are quite similar and I'm pretty sure most of them all come from the same factory and are just rebranded by other companies. Honestly just buy one from a company that has lots of good reviews on Amazon or similar.
The actual magnetic connection is quite loose and that's by design. If you try charging your trackers/ controllers from powerbanks while playing you may have issues but for regular overnight charging you won't have an issue. I've had to remove the plugs a few times before on trackers and my other devices with no issue - I suggest using something plastic (like the clip of a Biro pen cap or something) to get them off just to be safe.

the usbc ones for the controllers work great, since they're circular and snap any direction. the index controller connector is kind of loose though, so sometimes the entire male connector will pull out.
the microusb ones are meh. I used to have them directly in the vive trackers, which actually worked well because the tracker usb ports are super super tight, so they'd never pull out. Once i switched to the chinkstraps though, their usb ports are really loose so it'll usually pull out. Also since the trackers are so tight, the few times i have had to remove the magnetic male connector, the brittle magnets can shatter into pieces, so you'll have to tweeze out the rest of the connector, and order replacement connectors for the cables. overall it's not that convenient compared to regular microusb cables.
like others have said though, they're all chink off-brands anyway, so ymmv.

No, it sets up the armature modifier for you and weights the entire mesh (if not already weighted) to the bone you select, i.e. for static props. For clothes though, I've had good luck with Data Transfer, face interpolated. No clipping at all without any effort.

Because every model, texture and sound effect in the map is packaged into it. Maps ported from Source games specifically have their BSP geometry converted into hundreds/thousands of models depending how modular the original map was. Baked lighting also means lightmaps get created for each model bloating it further. 20MB sounds like a pipe dream unless you want blocky GoldSrc style levels with cars crudely made from brushes and minimal textures as a simple map with no custom assets is already 5MB.
You also get people who download a bunch of high poly shit with complex materials from the Unreal asset store and either slap it into a map with no concern for the filesize or they just forget to remove the unused asset, which of course gets packaged in with everything else.

Today I'm going to tell you that the eye tracking is part of the IK and is done automatically using the bones assigned in the unity humanoid rigging screen. The movement range is kind of faked using torque by having the pivot point (bone location) further or closer to the moving part (eye mesh). The further back it is, a longer "axle" it creates which means a slight movement of the bone will generate a bigger movement of the eye mesh. You don't have to do anything special other than making sure those bones are assigned in the unity humanoid rig under the left and right eye slots when you configure it.

Not running out of batteries for Touches is pretty great. It's going to take like a year for these to break even compared to standard AAs but after that every charge is a saving. It gets rid of the trouble to recycle the dead batteries too.

When I play VRC I usually record stuff that I find funny. I was using Geforce Experience to record these clips but since it's VR, it doesn't record fully the whole game so I switched to Streamlabs OBS and use the OpenVR plug in.
The thing is that even if everything is set up to record at the best quality and framerate it looks too choppy and laggy compared to Geforce Experience. I'm doing something wrong or is OpenVR not that good?

I'm not having any issues either, at the same quality settings. I wanted to post some videos for reference, but I noticed my old Sony VEGAS installation doesn't support MKVs that my OBS outputs. So I would have to turn all my videos into h265 videos without any quality loss, taking time and probably doubling my space needed, and fiddling with ffmpeg.

You can switch to NVENC encoding in OBS which is probably the same as geforce experience then. By default obs uses x264 cpu encoding, which might be tuned to low quality for lower cpu usage by default.
Use handbrake to reencode, it's just a GUI frontend to ffmpeg if you don't want to fiddle with the command line yourself. You're still going to get some generation loss though. It's weird that vegas doesn't support .mkv, it's a standard container for h264 video. you can remux to mp4 without reencoding or loss though, if that's all it wants.
I ocassionally use shotcut to do any fancier editing, but generally I just use ffmpeg -ss -to options to cut videos, or streamable's built-in editor.

If I recall correctly, mostly with the thumbsticks for directions, the trigger for acceleration. It's easy to learn, but it's kinda more involved because you can do more stuff like pulling out the wheels, redirect the fins (?), and do the condensation trail thing.
