I played Superhot VR no problem since that game doesn't even have movement really. Also played H3VR with little difficulty, but switching from teleporting to sliding messed me up. I couldn't handle playing Blade & Sorcery for more than a few minutes because using the joysticks to move me around was too much for me (and I was a manlet because I was playing sitting down), and the latest occurrence happened after trying to play Rec-room with friends. Switched to slow joystick movement because I was being extremely outpeformed trying to teleport around in those adventure modes, but ended up having to quit after only a few minutes because of it. Going forward was hard on me, but moving backwards especially fucked me up for some reason.

Just played through the first map/level thingy of Windlands and I loved it. The game is so beautiful and the mechanics are satisfying. I've never used a gunstock personally but hearing from those who have, it's generally not worth it with pavlov, due to the awkwardness with reloading, grenades, etc. I tend to lock manually my controllers together in a sort of pseudo stock to steady my aim; doesn't feel like an actual gun at all of course, but still helps.

I've heard stocks are more worth it for onward and its slower campier gameplay. There are some stocks you can print that have magnetic detachments I think.

Anyone know if OnAvatarHit requires something else to operate? Trying to make a small mirror on the back of a door flip from cubemap to realtime if you stand in front of it (Collider box set large enough for an avatar), with another object set away from the door with colliders on both ends to flip it back to a cubemap if it detects you standing over them.

Problem is nothing is happening at all. Even tried it with a simpler idea of just a visible cube set to a trigger, which would respawn you back at the map start if you enter it, but nadda.

Picked up half life Alex but I’m having some pretty bad performance issues. I can’t maintain 80fps on medium settings in a rift S. Only things you'll notice on low vs. high is the volumetric light/fog density, and the LoD pop-in distance. Months later I still don't know wtf the texture setting is for because it looks identical on low as it does ultra.

Honestly the game looks perfectly fine on all low settings, the pop-in isn't that blatant. Only thing I'd recommend on medium at minimum is sound quality (which is CPU-driven anyways, not GPU) so you get the audio processing for shit like audio bouncing, occlusion, etc, to make it sound less flat in a given environment.
