They claim you can use a very vanilla unity humanoid rig now and still get good results, unless the proportions are way out. Realistically, it will probably be better, but I suspect there will still be a few hacks that people will figure out for best results. Usually works on my machine. Supposedly it's a VRChat issue since they don't actually handle calibration correctly or something. Drumming your fingers helps fix it.
I can't say I've noticed the problem in any other games, but it's not like most of them do enough with finger tracking for you to even tell.

anyone else given this a go? I've been playing it recently and the gameplay feels so wonky. you'd think they'd put greater focus on the consistency of stealth with it being a stealth game but the enemies are so hit or miss that it feels like being sneaky can be a detriment.

Loading shells into the shotgun is broken so it loads straight into the breach without putting the slide forward so pulling the slide back ejects the first shell you load in. All the gun sounds are fucked, both in fidelity and distance fade. Sometimes they're super loud from across the map and not in the right place, other times they make no sound at all. None of the gun loading animations are synced. No transparency on anything but the smoke particles fading out so the transparent magazines are gone and the red dots are just textures. You can't use guns you pick up off the ground. Smoke works like it used to in pavlov where it just makes your screen grey if you get too close. Also completely blocks out scopes if you're aiming near it. Scopes are clearer but they got rid of parallax. All the trees and bushes are just 2 quads in an x shape. Lighting is all fucked so the shadows look really weird if they're even present. Torches just make your screen grey if you look straight into them. Drone can't see your model. Some of the guns apparently are removed but I don't know the list off by heart.
Man basically everything got fucked. It's like they've reverted it back to an early alpha version.
