There's no real reason you couldn't. It's getting the same inputs from the Quest hand tracking that you get from the Index controllers, and being able to move your hand around wouldn't be a problem.
Wouldn't really make sense to put in the work to port it from Quest when most PCVR users couldn't actually play it though.

It can be jank at times. Not obtrusively though. The tutorial is pretty bad and the story/voice acting pretty cringe. If you know the controls just skip it. Back when it had its free alpha like a year or more ago they just had placeholder assets and a barren world but the map is completely different now and the assets have all been updated with really nice looking models. Those distortion anomalies are like the bread and butter of shit to avoid though. Reflectors and distortions will be everywhere. It's unreal engine though if that makes you feel any better. Deeper you get into the radius the more things change. Indoor areas I find spooky as fuck, especially when it's dark. Like in that black box mission there's a construction site with a sniper it tells you to get optionally but 100% fuck doing that. Spiders fucking everywhere. There's also anomalies that only come out in the dark too so they're generally only indoors.
Personally I find it nice. It's not AAA quality but the devs are good and listen to feedback plus I'm a sucker for the sneak and loot open world genre. Lots of different types of guns too. 5 different ammo types and a bunch of different guns for each.

I think most people export individual objects to fbx and do composition in unity since you need to do shading and lighting in unity anyway. Once you get the fbxs into unity, it's pretty fast to modify a model in blender, re-export, then unity will pick up the changes and they will show up in your scene. You can try importing the .blend file directly in unity as well, but I don't think it's very well tested as a workflow.

Last time I tried a Blend directly it was still a prefab, and it was a little fucky on reloading it with changes in Unity.

Guess what I could try and working on each mesh indepedently, link in my room scene so I can get the scale correct, then apply scale/rotation and export FBX. None of these workflow options seem nice. You can unpack the prefab and pull apart the individual gameObjects if it want, and I think the mesh references will update properly when you update the original .blend.

My workflow is to make individual models of props in blender and not worry about the scale too much, just roughly 1 blender unit = 1 meter (some people use 1 blender unit = 1cm, which is sometimes more convenient for really small props since blender's default camera front clip plane is like 5cm). Then I export the model to fbx, import in unity, scale the prefab in the unity scene however I want (and duplicate, position, rotation, etc), as well as "extract materials" in the materials tab of the importer so I can adjust that. Then when I need to adjust the mesh, or UVs or vertex colors, I use blender, export the FBX, then unity will detect the changed file and update the scene in real-time. So like your imagined work flow, but only one way.

For me I just would keep going on VR until it got just a bit too uncomfortable then get off and take a break, then continue later when you feel a bit better. Long time quest link user here. I upgraded from Rift CV-1 and it was actually an upgrade in terms of quality. Only downside is 72hz but that's actually imperceptible at least for me.

Over all after almost a year using Quest link and 1500 hrs using it in VR it holds up really well and I am glad I bought it. The dark darks are really important for me since I like horror games.

I had this with the Oculus Rift S and when I got the Valve Index I still get it. I believe it's just the shape of our heads. Maybe we have big heads. I tried a lot of things and usually carefully adjusting the top strap can get rid of the headache but not entirely. I'd guess it has something to do with sinuses too. Some have tight ones, some don't and depending where pressure is applied on your head it makes it worse and induces headache.

If you ordered the full index set, then try using the soft padding meant for little heads but set the straps and everything loose and then tighten.
