Doing something a bit different this week in Assetto Corsa.
Since the 24h Nurburgring race is this week, we'll be running a roughly 24 minute race tomorrow on the Nurburgring endurance layout with a 60x day/night cycle.
The server is currently running the track in practice mode so you can test everything out, pick a car, and get used to the track.
Make sure to set up the Sol mod for actual 24h racing, I've added a mirror for the latest version here. You'll also want to map a button for headlights.
There's also a download for the DLC in case you're missing any, but I haven't been able to test it since I already own it.
We'll start around 8PM EDT on Wednesday and switch the server to qualifying/race mode once enough people join.
Pic related is the current car list, only thing that should change is how many we have of each car if necessary.

The voice and networking code still wouldn't be running in that case, so I still don't think it'd be that useful as a benchmark. You can run multiple clients locally and see yourself multiple times, but that'd also be hard to benchmark unless you had another computer to run the other clients for you and spam something on the microphone.

Without a profiler it's hard to say, but I think voice and audio processing would take up a fair amount of cpu time; whether that's on the main thread of unity or not. Networking could be pretty efficient, but i don't have a lot of faith in vrchat's devs, and it's still something you'd want in any sort of realistic vrchat performance benchmark anyway.

i'd consider aadding some kind of gentle shader ramp, or giving clothes more texture, details, basically anything to make clothes look a bit less simple, but i'm not sure if it's necessarily a good idea. should be worth a try though
