The annoying thing about pavlov is that everyone wants different things from it.
A good number of people want to try hard and play the game seriously while another large group wanted to play the game very casually and complained every time someone practiced and did well.
The meme maps like zombies and TTT were fun for a time, but lacked a lot of replayability. People who would show up to 1 out of 4 sessions absolutely loved those maps, but those of us who played a lot of pavlov very quickly became bored with them. I'm included in that, zombies literally made me sleepy just because you're standing around doing very little most of the time.
I think there's just too much variation in what people want from pavlov for NA pavlov to be a long time thing. It's the same pattern every time. Initially you get big turnouts, then people get bored or start complaining about sweaty players, attendance drops, and it dips to where you can't even get 10 player games and then it dies.

The EU group has a good solid core of 10 or so people that enjoy playing the game the same way. I think the strength of their group is that they all kind of share the same vision of the game and all more or less agree with each other well enough about how the game should be played and that's why they haven't fallen into the death spiral NA always does.
It's difficult for me to make the times they play games at, but they are fun to play with when I can and I'm happy to see that they can maintain the kind of consistency that they have.

That's a fair analysis. I also have fond memories of drunk pavlov, which definitely puts me in the 'casual fun' faction.

Outside of games that got unofficially ported to VR and those old TF2 and HL2 VR modes that don't work anymore, nothing actually supports KB+M. I'm not sure why you'd even want to use it in VR anyways when immersion is part of the point.

I prefer turning IRL for the immersion, but it's definitely faster to snap turn around if you're sweaty tryharding. TurnSignal helps for keeping your cord untangled, or just OVR Advanced settings, if you enable the 'center marker' in chaperone settings it shows how twisted your cable is.

Speaking of Pavlov, I don't remember anyone posting about it yet, but the update with WWII weapons, new UI, and some multiplayer lobby fixes is supposedly coming at the end of November now. The weapons are in the beta now along with some of the new official maps.

There are several little holes and gaps but most of my screenshots of them didn't save. Also a few spots that my nades did weird things on.
Performance was worst for me when facing forward in T spawn, bad enough to tank my frames even with no teammates onscreen.

There's no need to get total coverage on the climbable ledges, just put the ladder volumes in places you think will be high traffic and fill in any large gaps.

It's public but you need to download a custom map with them spawned in to use them. They're fun but I don't see the point if they're going to put them in the game without a way to use them on existing maps. It just means we'll have the one tank map, duplicate WW2 enabled versions of maps taking up SSD space and the trickle of WW2 exlcusive maps.

Dead zone issue in Squadrons is supposedly fixed now. Still can't turn off motion blur yet though if that bothers you, but this one was the bigger issue for me.

HTC has the Vive Focus and there's the Pico Neo 2 as well, but both are enterprise only. Lenovo used to have the Mirage Solo that was a standalone Google Daydream headset, but I'm pretty sure it died even before Google killed Daydream.
I don't see any chance of a standalone headset that just runs Steam versions of games though, and I think it'd be hard for most headset makers to get the kind of library that Oculus has.

Actually, thinking aloud, that camera rendering trick that camera test and a few other worlds uses doesn't render the nameplate layer, so i t could actually work without as much trust. Problem with Ghost game now is that many have played it alot and kniws everything, trying to hunt ghosts, knows how shit work, how ghost spawns etc.

Its a courage game, you have to identify the ghost and you have a nice insurance buffer if you die on the easiest difficulty. You have a 5 minute safety timer until the potential for ghost hunts begins. On the harder difficulties the safety timer reduces, and on pro its at 0 and you have no insurance. The objectives besides the identification become harder too, like capturing a picture of the ghost, or preventing a hunt with a crucifix. You get good at it, or pussy out and fuck up the game for your bros.

Find the ghost room ASAP. When the ghost starts a hunt, it will more often than not begin the hunt inside / near their favorite room. As long as you're not in a bad position when it starts you'll be able to outrun the ghost (unless it's a revenant, if this fucker spots you in a long hallway you are super fucked.)
When in doubt, light a smudge stick mid-hunt. If it is lit within 6m of the ghost, it will stop it in its tracks for about 5 seconds.
