I mean, the Quest 2 is still $200 cheaper than the Reverb even if you get the deluxe audio strap, so there's that. You are correct though that the more you try to fix the Quest 2's shortcomings, the less its low starting price matters. Almost all of the Quest 2's shortcomings have some kind of hardware patch or workaround but there comes a point where you are better off just getting a more expensive headset.

I would say to most anyone looking to get a Quest 2 though, do yourself a favor and replace the bloody strap, whether it's with the pro strap or you go frankenquest. The included strap is for people who are going to use VR for like an hour a week and don't care about long term comfort.

Can any VRchat vets tell me what VRchats reputation of banning is like? I've seen some people recently complain they've been banned for hateful content or spreading NSFW content. Fucking hell.
Tried to buy Virtual Desktop from Oculus for my Quest 2, they flag my purchase as "unusual activity" and disable my ability to buy anything from the store.
Made a ticket, was told I would get an update in 72-96 hours. It has now been 24 hours since the end of that deadline, ticket has been opened twice but I have not received anything from support.

I've posted a few times about how cool Quest 2 is but nobody responds so it gets lost a bit. Away from home, this device is amazing. Nobody else will tell you just how cool it is to have portable, quality VR. I've been using Quest 2 visiting family and I'm blown away at how amazing it's been to have this thing. It's a portable cinema that you can play VR VRChat on with at least 30fps in busy meetups, and other shit.

The thing with Quest 2 is you can make do with surprisingly little to make it a truly competent little headset. I've strapped a battery bank to the back of my Quest and that has alleviated most comfort concerns I've had. My WiFi has also been good enough that streaming via Virtual Desktop has been a great experience for PCVR.

I noticed a few times when I joined just H party weird shit was happening. I could see other players but I couldn't interact with buttons and mirrors etc. and my IK was broken. About 1 minute after I joined, I would just fade to black and join a new, empty instance. It's a very fluid thing most of the time without a fixed instance you can post a link to. Anything with smooth movement will help you train yourself to get less sick, you just have to keep trying. I got used to it in Pavlov since it didn't have teleport movement.

I'm sorta new to VR, only had my Oculus Rift for a few months, I'm not sure exactly what I want to play since I just keep browsing the same pages on Steam. It also looks like it have some latency compared to pucks. Compare the tracker in his hand and whats shown on the computer.
If something like the Hive tracker turns out good. It would really be an cheap alternative to HTC pucks.
You can also design it in different ways, and make it smaller.
Imagine a smaller tracking plate made for being worn on your VRShoes, with replacable batteries or an 1850 cell.

Activate the collider below the avatar, but only when the second jump is activated. This is between Velocity up >=0 and Velocity down >=0.
I could use gesturewright while velocity is >=0 but that means using trigger.
Havent tried out this shit before. But one Idea might be to enable it on velocity up >=0 so you could tap jump again for a double jump any time during the up part of the jump. And then some logic to only activate it once during a jump sequence.

Potentially yeah, especially on a Quest 2 since we don't really know how anal Zuck is going to be. That said, people have had the same concern about Oculus titles in general for years and as far as I know nothing came about from it.

Just got my quest 2, what are the first things to do to have fun? I don't want to spend over £15 day one, I mostly want to experience home cinema with other people and vrchat

The games I've liked most on the quest so far have cost more than £15.
But you can definitely try out some demos, vrchat, and play videos and whatnot for under that amount.
If you find anything fun for that low, you should mention it, I've been looking for something in that price range to tide me over for a bit until I can play my pcvr games again.

Aren't the games kind of a waste? I am a cheap skate so £20 or so on PC I spend on games like PUBG, rust etc which I can get hundreds of hours out of while on VR that gets me a few hours of gameplay
