More worried about the hip tracker than the controllers because you can just put one of the controllers down and still look normal. I've found that an onahole helps contain most of the mess but I've been struggling to find one that's big enough both width and depth. Plus the ones with lolis on the packaging would get me arrested trying to ship them in. Good PayDay 2 VR news Everyone!!!!!

I managed to get the Turning with the Right Thumbstick working on Index Knuckles Controllers when you have BLT + VR Improvements mod.

I published it with the name
"Working Right Thumbstick Turn for Index Controllers" on the workshop, so look for that binding to get working Knuckles right stick turning in Payday 2 VR!

It seems the VR improvements mod uses Fire select and Gadget, on buttons to turn Left/Right. What I did was rebind these to the thumbstick and suddenly, thumbstick turning on Index! Kinda weird nobody had done this before.
The base for the binding is the Index default binding, you should re-bind jump because having jump on the left touchpad makes jumping hard.
After alot of Payday2 VR, I kinda prefer the buttons to turn, so this binding works for both stick and button turning.

Videos only work on Linux on SDK3 players, which aren't being widely used yet, and that's only if you're hosting them in specific places. It'd be interesting to see if Dropbox actually works for that though.

VRC already tracks the viseme as a parameter with the name "Viseme" and uses the Oculus numbers for tracking them, so you can use this as a guide for the transitions. It'll go in the FX layer since it'll be primarily blendshapes (unless you have lip bones, but that seems pretty above and beyond).
You'll also want to make the transitions have no exit time and a rather short duration so your mouth doesn't move too slowly as well as get stuck in a list of visemes to go through.

How bad is the overhead of using the quest 2 as a pcvr? I mean the overhead on your GPU having to encode that shit to sent it through the cable. Since I have a weak ass 1660ti that it can barely drive my rift s so the extra resolution+encode overhead of the ques2 scares me.

Also, I've read that you can push the encoding quality to a point that it removes all of the typical encoding artifacts and shit and it looks like a native pcvr headset. Is that true?

There's no fix for video players in Proton unfortunately. It requires Media Foundation codecs that aren't supported yet in WINE, and even using a custom Proton with partial MF support doesn't work. Once you have the headset on you don't have to deal with the underlying OS so I find dual booting acceptable. Passthrough requires a 2nd GPU to work well, I've done it in the past but it doesn't seem worth it just for VR.
