Quest 2 is filling the same niche as the WMR headsets did: cheap entry to see if you like it then trade it in for something better. The standalone part of it is still a meme because to get the full vr experience you've got to link it to a computer that can run vr anyway (which is basically every gaming pc nowadays anyway). All the selling points of the quest 2 are either irrelevant or beaten by the index except the price and capacity for wireless.

my CV1 died, so i'm not gonna be patient. I thought it will be no problem, but ever since i lost it, i've realized how often i'm using headset. Simracing in DK2 is doable, but i was playing normal VR games for some time pretty much daily, i also have a personal VR project and it's kinda boring to work on it without checking stuff out in headset. God, i never thought headset is so important for me

USB-C is actually pretty decent for the tracking, but it's not 10/10 perfect. I'd imagine it's near-impossible for some Expert BS songs to be done with hand-tracking, but it'd probably be pretty good with the controllers. Overall I'd say it's a general upgrade from the CV1, with the downsides being audio, and the fit. You definitely want the strap upgrade, though. Shit's liable to fly off.

I can't rn, but it's basically like this but I duplicated the Head,put the dupe under Head and put all the hair bones under the dupe. Used that dupe as Root for the dynamic bone component
all of the hair bones have one more bone under them
