We are making THE dance hours, everyone welcome to the " Virtual Reality - Dancing All Night " this Friday 6 of November !, what's the theme? Let's just say that is a multi-celebration week, this year is is my first year with VR and I wanted to do something special, (also is my birthday today so is the perfect excuse to do something) . There's going to be big surprises during and by the end of the event... maybe. Special guests Included !.

To keep everyone safe and sound, the rules are the same ones as previous events:
- No very poor avatars, try to stay optimized and not constantly changing, VRC is pretty broken at the moment.
- Drink responsibly (or not).
- No animations or particles, etc, don't break anything
And again, both EU and NA will have their own instances ! (I always have issues with time zones, forsake me if I make a mistake, will confirm the times again later as always)
- For EU: 5 PM ET / 9 PM UTC / 6:00 PM ART
- For NA, at midnight ET / 4:00 AM UTC / 1:00 AM ART

As always, event gets cancelled and/or postponed if VRChat wants to update and break everything again.

If you're using AV3 you can disable auto footsteps in the avatar descriptor which does this I think. Also you could get a single tracker for the hip which would eliminate rotation steps completely unless you rotate your hips along with your head

Not only do I like my virtual apartment better than my real one, if I spend all day passively in front of a mirror it will probably re-wire my body image to be more like my avatar. I'm using XSOverlay, it's the best one IMO. OVRtoolkit is kinda meh in comparison. For a really complicated set of reasons that apply only to me, I'm using my Vive Pro right now, but I do have an Index and if you want to spend all day in a headset, it is absolutely the best choice. I get like 5.5 hours in an Index before needing to take it off.

Been playing a lot of H3VR lately because its the only thing I've actually found worth playing for more than a half hour in VR, but I've got an OG Oculus.

Has anyone here tried the "experimental" 3D tracking with the Rift that only uses two sensors, placed on the diagonal corners of your play area? How did you find it? The ONLY passable control scheme for H3VR seems to be arm swinger but I can't do that with front-facing only, and twin-stick is an abhorrent mess where you can be moving OR use gun controls, not both.

people tend to pool into groups of 3-6+ so usually finding a smaller group around the area should be fine but if you're meek/sober then you are likely to get spoken over by people drunker and louder than you in big meetups
weekends are good fun but you just have to learn to navigate the chaos to make the best of them, sometimes hopping around instances to see what everyone is doing is the best way if one instance is too packed or too chaotic

A few of us played near launch month, but it's only 1v1 from what I remembered, and we wounded up playing not many matches. It was rumored by devs to get team games but I don't think it ever did.

There's no also voice chat and you can't see the enemy commander during a match. Games can get pretty aggravatingly toxic since some faction special units are imbalanced to hell. There's no lobby system to speak of from what I recall so you have to add each other on steam. This is just going off memory, but it ended up having a practically radio silent post-release update cycle.

I actually touched it since July 2019 (last mp game some of us did) but I'll consider jumping into it if there's interest.

oasis is really rough overall. Voice chat in game barely worked; it seemed like they broke voice spatialization so you could only hear somebody if you were next to 0,0,0, and if there were more than a few people in the world, audio packets got dropped entirely. FBT works (for some models) but apparently doesn't sync over the network at all. The game worlds advertised in its trailer were actually completely static rips of some mobile game map.

That being said it is the closest clone I've played to actually being workable. Has the same world instance system, friends lists, IK, multiplayer touching. It crashed like 5 times over the night, but hey, it's still infinitely more usable than lavender ever was.

Also not a single choobie or nanachi or furry in sight.

Hello. Unfortunately due to a scheduling conflict it seems Choobie will not be able to do an EU session at the time I had planned.
