Pavlov is probably the best multiplayer VRFPS right now.
The Serious Sam VR ports are good if motion sickness isn't a problem.
Superhot VR is great, but it's really short for the asking price.
Creed is fun too if boxing counts as action.
Also, if the Walking Dead game he doesn't have is Saints and Sinners, that one is pretty good.

Do you think we will get affordable PCVR Headsets anytime soon? I've thought about buying a VR Headset lately, but the only manufacturer that offers something in my pricerange is oclulus and they seem to leave the pc market behind in favor of their own walled garden system. The Vive Cosmos is supposed to be shit and to expensive for what it offers. The HP Reverb G2 has a very fair price, but needs a very powerful pc to run. The index is the best, but to expensive. The older headsets are supposed to be not worth buying at this point.

Pavlov is the most active vrfps on the market and we play twice a week. If you like shootygames you can't really go wrong with it. Contractors is an alternative but nowhere near as popular, there are occasional thread lobbies here and there.

I heard there are latency issues with both VD and the link cable. It is not really noticable, when playing native quest titles bought through the oclulus store (20ms), but it is very noticable when playing SteamVR games (45ms in HL Alyx) and games like beatsaber are allegedly not playable anymore on higher difficult modes + video compression + converting the signal takes away power from your pc so you have lower fps then with a native pcvr headset.

splitting instances didnt use to be such a big deal but now everyone wants to be in the same one all the time. Yes, but not to it's full capacity. It's basically acting as a headless client. It captures motion data, transmits it to the PC, and displays a video/audio stream. Whether you'd be able to run other applications simultaneously without causing interruptions is hard to say.

Lobby usually fills and we're going to try to make the lobby every week, instead of twice a month. There's no scoreboard in game, so you generally have no idea how others are doing. Sometimes when I launch a VR game I get 10-12 fps exactly. it sometimes goes away when I switch between 144Hz and 120Hz mode couple of times. If I adjust resolution per eye it's solid 144fps on 68% and 10-12 on 70%, also 10-12 on 500%. It sometimes gets fixed if I restart steamVR. When the problem doesn't occur I can usually run things at 200-300% resolution comfortably. I'm on 2080Super and use Index.

I think I'm going a bit crazy, after googling still haven't found anyone with similar issue. It's driving me crazy.

That's a steam VR thing.
My guess is there's a cut-off at that 68% thing for you where more than 68% makes it be more pixels needed to calculate than what is actually there on your hardware. Meaning it will start to supersample twice the size of your screen and down scale it. Making it eat a lot more
