I don't know what is wrong with it. The black side of the wings have the same scale specular as the rest of the body scales but it really struggles to show up. I get the feeling it's a vertex normal problem considering how badly I distorted the mesh in order to get it from essentially a cylinder shape into a flat t-pose that would work with arm rigging.

The best compromise I've seen is have a third party play music for the performer and audience. So both performer and audience has the routing delay but this is not really full proof.
Another method is to have the music already uploaded to your avatar and then play the music with an animation toggle.

I've a little problem with my avatar 3.0, when i put hand expresions my lipsync brokes, yesterday in vrchat some people told to use combo gesture expressions, but even with that it won't work. I ended up getting sick shortly into the event because I can't work up the voice for group photo. Don't expect things to look exactly as they do in KK in Blender. In Unity you can get much closer or change things up with shaders. Just get the model working first.
