There's not really much of a selection, as far as good options. Quest 2 is the best option for non-lighthouse systems because Facebook are subsidizing the shit out of it to get a stranglehold on VR, but if you want lighthouse/fullbody then Index. Good headset, worse hand tracking than Quest 2 (and lighthouse tech), non-lighthouse so if you want FBT you're gonna need to buy lighthouses on top of everything else. Perhaps as they have a much longer battery life. Not having to buy battery packs is nice assuming that you play VRChat for more than 3-4 hours a go. However you might be better off getting the Tundra trackers if you can wait for their Kickstarter to deliver as they are cheaper and have multi-dongles.

The Vive facial tracker explicitly only works on the Vive and Vive Pro. It doesn't work in VRChat even with mods, but works in Neos. There is a mod that allows the Vive Pro eye tracking to work in VRChat at least quite well.

Use random relative position shape keys that have to be activated out of many possible shape keys. Off set the default state of each vertex by the inverse of the total vector applied to it by the shape keys you decided to use. Only by applying the right shape keys will the avatar look normal. You'd have to get the currently active shape key data while a person is using the avatar, or reverse engineer the avatar to use it. No obvious pin, no "just removing the component". Still has flaws though.
