It's difficult to describe, but it's kinda like slipping into a dream in waking life, having become accustomed to a different set of the laws of physics.

The best example of bleedthrough effect I can give is that at it's worst you might reach for a cup, and miss 2 or 3 times because you've gotten used to the relatively loose dimensions in VR. In VR if you clench your hand near something you pick it up but in real life you have to firmly grasp it. That, and a general feeling of disorientation as everyday interactions start to feel a little fake, or your arms feel floaty.

I've been doing VR regularly since late November and I haven't really experienced it in a few months now.

I wish I was capable and talented by any degree at all so that I could make the VR SotC-like that I desperately want.

This was me 2 weeks ago. All I did was look up a bunch of tutorials and play around with the files I already had, which then turned into a cute avatar.
If the booth creator was kind enough they probably included either little tutorials on how to edit things or PS files with reasonable names/layers.
What are you planning on changing about your model?
Editing in blender is surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it, just remember that the hierarchical system exists for each object and it's v important if you want everything to move together.

Thinking about getting a therapy type event going because holy shit do some of you mother fuckers need it

I had several ideas on how to do it, at most i would need two other people to organize it or help give sessions to people. Maybe keep it lighthearted so people dont evade it because they think its too serious but everyone needs to vent every once in a while, and some of you act like a 2 liter of soda ready to go off any second. I would also need a world with private locked rooms, that would somehow evade exploits of people listening in, either that or just take each individual to a completely separate world for sessions. 72/72 hours of straight VR completed. I got more comfortable with sleeping with the headset, still suck though. I thought I would play more games today. But I just chilled in vrchat or just did stuff at my computer like unity at my desk. Swords of gurrah was fun. AS im writing this I still have 1 more minute left. I will write the rest of this with out the headset off. The first thing is how much better I can see. The passthough I was using on the vive feels like vaseline my eyeballs. also the screen door effect is pretty bad on that still. It all kinda felt like a vaction. but the destination was no where and any where at the same time. Things still have a certain falseness to it. Like the world doesnt feel right. I cacluated the hours from steamvr. 3731.8-3669.4=62.4 hours I dont know where 10 hours went. I was in VR for all of it or I had to restart because of my wireless but not even close to 72 hours. Overall pretty interesting challenge though I sort of feel that I didnt have any big revelations at the end.
