Though the shooting is pretty fun, but its annoying at times since guns are always held in a single hand so you always have a single useless hand which is only used for movement and menu stuff.

Both of which give you all the freedom needed to play anything you like from cards games, to dominoes, to the most advanced pen and paper games out there, many of which already have player made content packs available so you don't have to do fuck all.
You could entirely play Demeo inside either of these so really you're just buying demeo for the animations.

It's honestly a fun game moment to moment. It's pure tactical turn-based dungeon crawling with well-polished VR UI and the 4 characters all play uniquely. Being able to see the basic rayman avatars around the table with spatialized voice chat is also still really comfy compared to staring at a flat screen with people talking in your ear.
But it's about 6 hours of content, which as fun and polished as it is, is really hard to recommend for $30, or really $120 for 4 people. That's like a really upscale board game. I think it needs about 4x the content before it would feel worth it, in terms of dungeons/characters/enemies/spells etc. The devs are promising more, and the base mechanics are definitely extensible (hoping for mod support too, it's a unity game), but it's not there yet.
And also it's purely tactics, with no roleplay or dialogue. It's like turn-based Gauntlet, not full DnD.

The main thing you're buying in Demeo over TTS is the polish. Controlling TTS in VR is tolerable at best, and straight up broken at worst. Also demeo plays automatically instead of needing a DM, which yes you could technically also script in TTS, but I haven't seen anything close to advanced as Demeo, even though Demeo is already pretty simple mechanically.

It's like gauntlet. there's some very shallow set dressing but you're just there to kill mooks and defeat the boss, with an item shop between every floor. I don't think they have official plans for user-generated stuff, but it is a unity game some I'm somewhat hopeful that unofficial mods will take off. Even then though I doubt you'll see heavy narrative content; the mechanics and UI are all geared for pure combat.

I've got a self-contained one off DnD 3rd edition campaign that I could throw up and DM in one of the tabletop simulators if anyone was interested. Made it years ago to play with my IRL friends but it never happened since we had other campaigns going at the time and then life got in the way, but I kept hold of it all.
Don't have pre-made characters so you can be whatever you want in the standard forgotten realms setting, make a new level 1 character and you'll be good to go. I'd expect it to take about 3 hours but depending on how retarded everyone is it could be more or less.

I've used both and I'd say either is fine. Kind of like using a HOTAS to play Assetto Corsa... It's not the best choice but it works. You got your forward and backwards for shifting. Left the right for the wheel. Which means most of the times yours going diagonal because you need the shift while turning.

I can't believe how fast things move irl. I interacted with a real person once or twice before my headset broke, but now they're dragging me everywhere. Real life went and got itself in a big damn hurry.

I'm saving up for an actual wheel setup. If you have a xbox/ps3/ps4/etc controller(I used to play Euro Truck this method and thought it was fine. With this game you need a little more control so it can be a little wonky at times at least with my controller) I'd just use that if you have any plans of getting a wheel/shifter(?). If you have a HOTAS why not give that a try as well. See which you like better(though your HOTAS does need to be able to go in all 6 directions). You can totally play with a controller just straight up. I also have played with the idea of using a wii balance board I have in the closet for pedals. I know someone who would use it for tank sims.

I have major trust issues with new people. Throughout my life, I've poured my heart out to people who've shown me nothing but friendship. These people assured me that they were actually my friends, they gave me a sense of security that even my parents sometimes can't give me, only to later stop being friends with me and cut off all contact with me for obviously fake reasons. I wish I knew the real reason, but my Asperger's is probably it. I cower in corners in public worlds, that's my level of social interaction.
So how is this related to VRChat in the slightest? Well, it happened again. I met someone who invited me into their inner circle, all of which showed me nothing but friendship and kindness for months. Right as they were all about to have an organized VRChat event, they suddenly cancelled the event, cut off all contact with me, and didn't give me any warnings or a reason. I looked away from Discord, looked back, and that server was no longer in my list of servers. I had to get someone else to contact them for me. Apparently they "don't feel comfortable" when I'm around and they don't want to hear from me ever again. If someone starts trying to defend their actions, don't listen to them. I should mention that I spent more money than I should have on a 1000+ dollar VR setup and struggled for way too long to get it working. I bought it just so I could hang out with them with more immersion as I used keyboard mode during our first hangout.
Now I don't want to make it seem like I don't have friends. I do, and we all share similar interests. However not all of them use VR. The ones that do are in their own inner circle, and I'm done with joining others' inner circles. I now have no VR friends, an empty friends list, two custom worlds, and all this VR tech set up with no one to actually play with. I don't really have a goal with posting this, and I'm not making a subtle "Hey, be my friend" post, I just needed to get this off my chest.
