From what has been posted by their Twitter it seems like it will be a huge step up from any other FBT alternative currently available to the public
as it is a trial version, there is a limit on it sending data to whatever is going to process it, turning itself on and off again every 10 seconds, which is dissapointing but not surprising
A quickstart for VRC video is located in the Readme so setup should be relatively painless
anybody interested should post their results

Assetto - can be played with wheel, controller, or steam-vr-wheel addon, it doesn't matter, we will all have fun driving together.

Trials are meant to give you a preview of the application, and this is indeed sufficient for that. You can see in the app how the tracking performs fully, but you cannot fully use it to actually send the full data to an application and use it entirely for free, unless someone comes up with a hack to extract the data.

It is able to utilize RT tensor cores in 2xxx/3xxx nvidia GPUs to offload even more processing off the CPU and GPU main core
You can hook a VRM model to the app to (maybe?) replace yourself with a cute anime girl complete with facial, eye, and finger tracking! or not I'm not quite sure what this means
There is a checkbox to set "to send tracker positions as relative positions to the head. When used with SteamVR and "Virtual Motion Tracker", it is recommended to check this to make the latency of the virtual trackers less noticeable." which could perhaps qualm any unsease about latency between the camera tracking your hips/legs and your head/arms fucking up the IK too much

checked it out and it looks good within their software environment. I wasn't impressed at all with the vrchat demo though. Not to mention the overhead on your system from running this software in addition to a game like vrchat. It'll be fine in slow instances but the moment you get into a 30-40 person lobby and your pc is pegged from vrc alone it'll be even worse. That delay is pretty rough already in his home world.

My experience with it

Even without an RTX card as long as it's nvidia it should be able to utilize just CUDA cores instead of Tensor+CUDA cores, try to go ahead and install the gpu version anyway and see how better it functions

Doing some racing in Assetto Corsa tonight at 8PM EDT.
Since the 24 Hours of Nurburgring was last weekend, we'll be doing a 24 minute 60x race on the Nurburgring endurance track in GT3 cars.
We'll start out in practice mode, and move to qualifying/race mode when enough people join.
The Sol mod is recommended so you can actually see the day/night cycle, but you should still be able to join without it.
A download and guide for the latest version of the Sol mod and the DLC that's needed for a few of the cars are in the links if you need those.
Server is running in practice mode now, so you can get some practice laps in and figure out which car to run. Let me know if you run into any issues.

If you install them properly and apply the software correction there's no distortion. I've done a lot of testing in that optic app in steam. I can read like 3x extra lines on the eye chart now. The circle of thin black rings was game changing it's so much clearer. I will say you have to be way more accurate with your ipd settings after doing the mod. So you better know your actual IPD. I don't think you know what I'm talking about maybe? oculus, vive, index etc all have their own settings for their lenses from the factory something you never need to even think about unless you mod your headset (only vive/vivepro have lens mods that I know of so oculus is irrelevant) The mod I'm speaking of is taking the glass lenses from a 2017 gear vr (black one not the white one and swapping them into 3d printed mounts that properly line them up to fit into a OG vive or vive pro. These lenses aren't frensel lenses so they don't suffer from godrays and they have increased sharpness and sweetspot compared to the original lenses. There's a software fix that you apply in steamvr config files that fix the distortion from the different lens profile. Not that I found the distortion much worse in game without the fix but it worth applying nonetheless.

I really held better views on you /vrg/. When I first joined late 2017 it was actually fun to sit and discuss modding, games other than vrc and actual discussion about VR.
