Yes, it fixes some shit and do some settings. The checked options can be made later, like removing zero weight bones etc.
I do it to avoid having too much removed, meshes joined etc, as I do that just before export.

I've been thinking about this system of full-body movement for a good while now and just today I decided try to implement it into VRChat. It didnt take that long to get working actually. Just got to sort out a few bugs here and there and it can be used. You can see in the video that I can step on the cube and it will lift me as if it were in my playspace for real. Then I can lean over the edge of it and still not fall off. With the default character controller that vrchat uses you would fall off if you lean over an edge because the collider is attached to your head. I'm still impressed that it didnt take that much code to get 'working'.
