You know a concept that could make this work would be to play on the whole "flatland" novel. Imagine this 2d platformer projected on various 3d objects where you are the single entity in the higher 3rd dimension and thus can interact with these game worlds in seemingly god like ways. You could pluck and transfer 2d elements from these different universes. You could even use 3d objects to intersect the game world for puzzles and what not.
Explore different 2d>3d projections on spheres, doughnuts, cubes, etc.

Maybe it's just because I'm blinded to it since I've used Neos for a while but I never really understood this. It's always seemed pretty straightforward you just find your file, run import, and then do the avatar setup. Granted getting it tweaked just right takes time but that's a given anywhere. Overall the whole process seems much easier to me than VRC and you even have the added benefit of someone potentially physically showing you what to do.

Eh, Facebook doesn't refer to the metaverse as an application or platform but as an internet equivalent which links multiple platforms together. They're just creating and presenting one node in it, for now. Since the 24 Hours of Le Mans was last weekend, going to try doing a 24 minute 60x version in GT3 cars.
We'll start out in practice mode, and move to qualifying/race mode when enough people join.
The Sol mod is highly recommended so you can actually see the day/night cycle.
A download and guide for the latest version of the Sol mod, the track we're using, and the DLC that's needed for a few of the cars are in the links if you need those.

vrg was never a group by itself. It was simply like-minded people from a 4chan thread on /vg/ hanging out together.
I'm not saying it's the discords fault but the moment "/vrg/" became a thing on itself is when the group went to shit.
It fell further with spoonfeeding friends and non-vrg into the group via Discord, the covid babies getting VR, subgroups undermining the community (Halocord) and finally Dal causing a rift in the community paired with a conveniently timed server nuke to finally splinter everything.
There is no such thing as /vrg/ beyond the thread anymore, there is no "official discord server", what remains is a community born from the old /vrg/ but it sure as hell ain't the old group.
Ryder's attempt to keep the group together in his server would have worked in the old days, but there was far too much hatred, powergrabbing and shit from certain people for that to ever work.
The fact that the nuDiscord still has the same name and icon as the old group is an insult to what vrg used to be.
newfags work tirelessly on cramming as many events into each month in order to keep the group "active" when it never needed to be, as if it was some normie social group.
