This is the only avatarfag post I'll do since 2018 ever since the jar incident.
Personally, I think the gatekeeping was a bit too much but I guess where it was coming from, our community has devolved into this mix of people from everywhere. A single thread post stating that there's two different passes would have sufficed, but it didn't happen.There was too much gatekeeping involved in my opinion It may have not mattered in the end, but it left a sour taste in our mouths. We're all from the same place in the end,Sometimes things don't work out and it it doesn't for this community and if it doesn't happen we will fix it. /vrg/ has been going on for almost 4 years, we will run into different narratives of what people think is the ideal way of running things here, what matters most is that we're having a good weekend. I hope we managed to provide that at the end of the day. Pistol Whip got another free DLC recently, it's even better than the last one. Wasn't a fan of new weapon, but the music choices were great. Especially loved 2nd stage. Felt very busy, with all the horse enemies and the brief part in the mines and it fit the song well.

Try the beta/public test firmware. If that doesn't work you can repair the Oculus software from the setup .exe if you still have it. Otherwise uninstall the Oculus software, restart and install it again. Most Rift S issues are caused by underpowered USB ports but you know those worked fine before, second most are from the Oculus software fucking up.

Long beep could suggest it was a GPU issue originally but beep codes aren't the same for all manufacturers. If your GPU has more than one display port try the other one or try with nothing plugged into the other DPs.

From this experience I've learned that, you can put a lot of effort into making jokes or memes like, in this case, having the pass on your avatar. But if the joke takes too long people will get bored of it and will leave, and that's what happened.
The idea of the pass was actually pretty good, hilarious as a way " hey guys, check the thread more often ", because is true that people choose the discord than the thread for multiple reasons that I can actually understand, thread can be pretty chaotic, some times more than others, but you niggas had to sperg about it.

I got the Rift and I am a bit disappointed outside of those games and some of the art programs. It seems like 90% of VR games are basically just under baked zombie ragdoll slappers.

Events work best when the people organizing them are doing it just because they want everyone who attends to have fun.
Events with a spiteful or mean component or events that go "well everyone isn't going to have fun and I don't care about those who don't" are events that don't go well.

The TSA event would have been funny if it took 30-60 seconds to get to the punch line and everyone moved on to the main event. It shouldn't be a surprise that people left to do something else after having to wait so long.
And the fighting here after was wholly inappropriate. It's pretty obvious that there are a lot of people more motivated by spite and the desire to fight over things that really don't matter, rather than the goal of everyone having fun.
