Time to drive some nice vintage racers: Alfa Romeo GTA (4chan car, it's back!) and Porsche 718 Spyder. They are evenly matched. We are going to Monza!
This time during practice I would really like for all of us to keep packed at all times and train our racing lines, situational awareness and dealing with pressure from behind and in front, so try to not split up from the group during practice, group should slow down in case of crash to let crashed people catch up.

After that we are going to kino Romanian mountain road: Transfagarasan! Nice drive, but dangerous!

It has force feedback, and while it only turns like 270° (I think) It's good for most sims
It's loud though as it has gear driven force feedback, but you won't hear it with headphones on anyway
For that price I think it's alright, I've bought it for like 70$ a few years ago, been using it since then, all I had to do was take the pedals apart and sprinkle some WD40 on the sensors, because there was some deadzone. And the wheel sometimes loses centering when I correct a slide with a very fast steering input, but yeah that's all of the problems.

I enjoy Dirt far more. There is nothing like the rush you get but with Assetto's mod support you'll get more milage. You can get AC though frequently on sale for 5-10$ so it's not like you have to choose one. They both deliver an experience that the other can't.

AC is the ultimate shitpost sim, you get anything you want there. GT3 on spa, road cars on roads, race cars on race tracks, DHL truck on nurburgring, lada on akina, you name it. It's the most fun car experience, but if you don't have a wheel, DR2 could prove to be more fun. Content-wise, DR2 is just rally, if you like rally, go get it.

Shinya Tsukamoto paid for the entire film out of his own pocket, and "By the end of the production, most of the crew had abandoned Tsukamoto because the filming conditions were so difficult." and "Toward the end, only the actors were still around. Nearly the entire crew had given up and left by then."

According to Tsukamoto himself, he had considered burning the film's negatives because the whole production had been such a bad experience. Regardless, it's a great movie, so i'll look forward to seeing you there! If you're super squeamish, maybe skip it, due to it's prevalence of body horror, but it's pretty fun.

I'm glad you asked. Those "omnidirectional VR shoes" are merely a form of artificial locomotion. The same as the joystick but with extra computation between the user and the input. While I think these devices are important and will be used in the future when the tech is sufficient enough, currently they are limiting, expensive, and bulky. Not to mention NONE of them maintain the true gate and movement of a person. If you want to freely move in VR with the tech we have right now you can with Manual Redirected Walking or MRDW. Anyone can do MRDW with a midsized playspace of 2mx2m or larger. And with the advancements of the very next gen headset(wireless primarily) it will only get easier. It doesn't limit the user nearly to the degree of any other solution, its free(if you have the room), and does not require extra hardware. I would say that the difference between MRDW/RDW to any other solution is like that of a manual car vs an automatic. A manual will always give the user far greater control, if they choice to learn it.

So I just finished Budget Cuts.

Pretty neat, since I've wanted to play the game for a while.
Good athmosphere, decent graphics (for what it is) and shit my pants on the last level.
Excellent taste of humor and a simple story.

Overal gameplay is a bit too short and puzzles can be a bit confusing at times (or I'm just a retard) but at least it has the included Arcade DLC with more levels and such with replayabillity.
I havn't played the Arcade mode yet, only the first level but it looks promising.

Probally not worth the 20 bucks since it has only between 5 and 10 hours of gameplay (If you finish it without caring about achievements and the arcade) but I would defenetly recommend it if you're new-ish to VR and want to escape the cage, or if you're a more experienced player it could be a nice refresher compared to the current VR market.

So having an issue with my avatar, everything for the most part works but I notice when I move my arms (this is with FBT but I assume with just 3 points tracking it'd be the same) my avatar's upper arms like..."snap" in place when I reach out my arms as far as I can stretch them in real life. I refuse to believe they are this retarded. Shotguns became absolutely useless when they added that steep as fuck damage falloff. They were fine beforehand and well balanced between the four types because each shotgun had a different spread - sawnoff being the biggest, then the auto, semi auto, and pump with the tightest. Ended up being lowest rate of fire outside of the pocket shotgun had the longest effective range. Their main problem was that a single pellet could kill on a no helmet headshot but that was a problem with the game in general as it applied to every projectile. The damage falloff meant every shotgun needed several shots at barrel stuffing range or they tickled at best. It wasn't needed at all because you had pellet spread which limited their effective range anyway.
I dunno man I loved drunk pavlov back in the day but now every update adds more weapons, doesn't fix any issues, and "fixes" things that were fine. It's like dave is trying to be anton or something.

imu is a bad idea for quality tracking. There's going to be a ton of hoops to jump through during setup, calibration, and you have to wear even more shit on your body than with standard vive trackers. 3x vive pucks now becomes 2 chest straps, 2 upper leg straps, foot straps and straps for the additional imu on the lower trackers. Intial software would crash and wouldn't save settings so you would have to jump through a ton of hoops to get it running again. Creator says he's going to make it save some of the settings by launch but there will still be minor adjustments that need to be set each time you use them due to taking them off and on your body.
