I just had about 400 hrs of VRChat. One surprising thing is that dating seems so common in the VRC community, but some people have told me it usually does not last for a very long time and it always ends terribly (breaking friend groups and making relationship awkward), though I can't deny there are also many successful cases but I have not encountered one.

My main issue was the constant server DCs which meant that I couldn't play the game. By the time I was an hour and fourty minutes into attempting to connect I decided to cut my losses. With so many broken VR games I've gotten tired of the poor indie studio prease understand excuse. Hitman 3 seems to be the same way. Great reviews for the whole trilogy, videos do make it look fun, but non-functional VR and non-functional servers right now. I could easily be wrong but the game is still downloading for me. Zenith seems to have at least done thorough beta testing, so maybe that one will be better.

So I moved my setup from my bedroom to a room I cleared out. What ya'll use for when you're sitting? The room is empty for "room scale" but I'd like to have something I can move around. I'd heavily recommend https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/mods/1563 to make the game proper roomscale VR. I honestly would say that it is a good alternative to the flat version with it. The performance still sucks but they patched in DLSS at least.

With the Index controllers it gets better if you remap instinct to left grip and run to up on the right joystick so you can find targets while running. It's not a matter of fat jiggling, it's just the simple fact that vive trackers are heavy and hanging too far off of your center of gravity especially if they are sitting atop a Trackstrap+ battery. It has 2 big flaws right now. Moving in your placepace only moves Agents' 47 head and hands, the body and legs stay in your calibrated playspace center spot, which is extremely weird for a vr game.
Second major issue - auto resolution scaling to match 90FPS all the time. On my 1080ti it makes a lot of in game scenes quite blurry, I wish I could lock it to 45 but have better clarity. Overall I have no qualms for it as a VR port.

The main thing that bugs me about Hitman 3 in VR is the downgraded graphics. The nu-Hitman games have lovely picturesque vacation spots picked out for their locations. Just being able to immerse myself in them would be great. I had heard that the PSVR version had shit graphics, reduced crowds, etc., but I didn't expect that would be the case with the PCVR version.

The PCVR version only has two graphics settings, normal and best. Pic related is on best supersampled a ton. Mirrors don't work, crowds are smaller, skin lacks subsurface scattering, ambient occlusion gone, lots of lovely foliage is replaced with grass free astroturf etc. The reduced resolution even at high steam SS values sucks too. I don't regret buying the game as I mainly got it to play the Hitman 3 missions flat and to mess around in VR on the side, which I have been able to achieve. But for such a nice looking game to get downgraded like this because of consoleniggers and dev laziness is sad. It makes me glad I put money into a PC these last three gens rather than touch a console. Given how good the reviews for the PSVR version of Hitman 3 were, consolecucks are used to games looking like... this but even worse. The high res panty textures are still there though which is nice.

That's a shame to see the environments are still downgraded for PC. I haven't played the nu-Hitman games but from what I saw I was really impressed by all the new maps which is a big part of why I wanted to try it out in VR they look really immersive. Even more of a shame since it can only be out of pure dev laziness that they didn't bother to allow the flat maps in VR.

To be fair all of the flat game's maps are in VR. The object and guard count isn't turned down or anything. It's just the NPC crowds which are reduced. I distinctly remember levels like Sapienza being properly packed like a tourist trap should be flat only to be reduced in VR due to the PS4 having ~2010 era hardware. What we have here isn't a simply a bad VR port, but a bad console->PC port. This trend will only get worse now that VR games are made with the Quest in mind.

Anyone know how to fix FirefoxWEBVR not launching for Index?
It offers it when I go to sites, I click allow, on the headset I see it tries to open Firefox but then it seems to just crash and then just says it's launching vr home again.

I ensured the domvrenabled flag is set to true, but I'm wondering if there's something else that might be off. I'm using arkenfox userjs.

Is there a fast way to switch the Index between standing mode, to sitting mode, without needing to use the desktop?

So even tho i love FPS on my computer, i'm finding that in VR it's kind of frustrating. Since the aiming is so realistic landing shots actually requires a lot of skill and effort and it gets tiresome. the top 1 item for VR immersion is the headset of course, so improving the display quality and FOV is the most important goal, but the close second is ditching the shitty handsticks and replacing them with gloves that can simulate object shapes (and in the future also sensations like hot and cold and pain), but for now force feedback gloves will be a MASSIVE game changer, so many fucking people underestimate how game changing this will be for immersion

Main issues (besides zuccbook) I can think of are the fact that it needs to recharge (though power banks or playing wired mostly mitigate this), lower FOV (90° vs 120°, though thinner covers could raise the quest's FOV to around 99° apparently), and audio quality (though frankenquest is an option).

The issue is you need at least 1 other person to report too, usually with their own logs and proofs. Otherwise, it's considered harassment. Stuff changed ever since 4channers used the report system for targetted bullying, not just that, client monkeys think they're clever, too. It's just to prevent less false positives. Moderation, especially after christmas, has no fucking way to logistically get through it all. There's a reason a few of us were so adamant on applying and getting accepted, one of the discord mods made a "joke" about just crashing questlet children who are obviously below 13 because of the amount of reports. You have to make your report as clean as possible with the right information to even be looked at properly.

I've had vr and have been using it on and off since 2018. The hotdogs in H3VR make me shudder, the enemies in boneworks give me entire body goosebumps when they get too close, the headcrabs and zombies in alyx freaked me out, the spiders in karnage chronicles make me jump, and the golems in waltz of the wizard give me huge goosebumps.
Surprisingly, I don't think I've been scared in blade and sorcery.
