If you're someone that knows how to code yeah, my post was talking about the average brainlet that doesn't know coding. Setting up something like triggers on SDK2 was easy and basic and everyone could figure it out. No coding knowledge required.

Honestly I think people overestimate how difficult it is to code.
Specially for unity where most stuff are documented.

But there was a learning curve going from SDK2 to UDON. Jetdog's prefabs are a god send for getting up and running. God bless his soul I use and learned a lot reverse engineering his stuff.

I'm new to VR, I want to play VRC with my friends, who are 4chan/vrg adjacent but I just can't.

Like I just feel so awkward. I don't know what to do, I feel out of place. They are all doing funny VR stuff and I don't know how to handle myself. I feel so self conscious about my hands, my arms, my body language. I have no idea what to do and usually am just letting my friends lead the way and I feel like I'm just boring them. Which sucks because I'm typically the one a lot of them go to for jokes, humor, or just a overall good time.

It also sucks because my girlfriend plays VR and wants to do cute/lewd things in it but I don't know how to like. Do it myself. It feels so much different than IRL and I can't shake that. Again I just like, don't know what to do.

I see the appeal in it and I WANT to get into it. Can anyone here help? Like just any type of rundown on maybe the things they do typically? Anything helps.

For wireless it's 100% dependent on the battery you have. Mine is 10,000mAh and it lasts about 8 hours. You can get a strap to stick a generic power bank on and you can go crazy and stick a 30,000mAh one on there, at some point you're just adding weight for nothing because you are eventually going to take it off and put it on charge anyway.

Maybe you have neck problems but I've never really had a problem with the weight. Adding a cable just to reduce weight doesn't seem worth it at all you're giving up the freedom of movement which is a major downside. If you really want to add a pulley system for the weight you might consider sticking with wireless anyway since most batteries will last longer than the wireless, you don't have to worry about cable disconnects and you can avoid the Oculus app using VD.

Sometimes you might see them at times and maybe even exchange an acknowledgement but most times you just see each other with yellow over their heads with the occasional glances. You then end up with hundreds of people in your friend list but none of them never really more than a one time acquaintance. Many people fall into this trap for years. I've been trying to do a headswap for weeks now, but I just can't get the transition to work well, because the body has 26 vertices at the neck while the head has 34.

I tried various diamond patterns in the topology to either make both 26 or 34 vertices, but it always ends up making the shading look messed up.
The body's also very well-made, I'm scared to mess with the topology too much.

How do I do I do this headswap?

heya, I'm trying to get this VRM model to work in vrchat, when I import using univrm, everything works perfectly except the mouth. i know its because the jaw bone is toggled to a hair piece but since I can't edit the avatar config for a prefab i have to resort to import through blender/cats.

the issue i have with that is it always seems to lose the shader details when I do that, so I'm stuck editing each shader setting for each material copying the settings from the vrm unity import.

what the fuck am i doing wrong here.
