I think the best thing to do in your case is use blender + CATS plugin to merge the armature into one.

Comfort is much better, it has real depth sensor for passthrough, fully removable and hotswapable battery, better FOV, face tracker support and eye tracking is better as well. Controllers are the same as Focus so not great but not terrible. Comfort is the biggest deal here.

While vive do not have eye/face tracking by default, that will come as addons and will be much easier to use for pcvr
To be honest the biggest downsides of the headset for me are the resolution and fov (on par with qpro but inferior to pico4 if we talk wireless, inferior to vp2/reverb g2/pimax if we talk wired)

This isn't true. You can use Face Tracking through Airlink. It was easy to set up. Setting up the avatar for Face Tracking will be the same regardless. Face/eye tracking is built into the headset so it's certainly easier from the hardware setup perspective.

What did you start out with? Try Alyx with teleport movement, or do some of the earlier VR demo stuff like The Lab until you get your vr legs. Just remember to take breaks before you get really sick so you don't condition yourself into thinking the headset is poison.

Beta was delayed for months. Then it released completely broken. As much as I want to it's not worth swapping to yet because there's still a VRAM leak that makes your textures fuck up.
The next beta version is 'soon' and will include the first version of PSVR2 crossplay. Then it's expected to stay in beta for a while too.

Don't hit the fix button, it'll break most models.
When merging meshes, do it yourself with ctrl-j, and if the color fucks up check the UV maps on both, chances are the meshes have differently named UV maps.

It will merge them but not break anything. If you ever split it apart again you'll find a bunch of useless vertex groups and shapekeys on the split apart meshes.

Pistolier didn't feel overpowered to me, wait until you get the assault class if you want to see unbalanced. I liked the quick reload, it was a good way to make the class unique and have a faster playstyle, you trade some items slots for it too.
The biggest problem is that the difficulty modes are poorly tuned. Easy is so easy that you can reach endgame on your first run. Normal feels like a better balance point for unupgraded weapons. Some of the cooler enemies don't even show up on lower difficulties. Bosses don't scale enough with difficulty so higher tier enemies feel much more threatening than even the endgame boss.

I went from sick after a few minutes with any locomotion to being able to play vrc with comfort turning off for 10+ hours zero issue. For snap shooting physically turn yourself, but please consider the following:
-Head direction based movement: Unable to look around and run in a straight line at the same time.
-Controller direction based Movement: Whenever you reload or do anything with your gun/hands your movement gets fucked by it.
-Barely supported hip direction based movement: Its better in every way. Possibly with the added bonus of your mags always being in the same area on your real body assuming the game supports it.

While wireless ads a bit of latency it does make it easier to do more aggressive movements without having to worry too much about the wire.
