Advice for the aussie rally:
There are lots of 'tightens' turns, you HAVE to listen for the call and slow down a little; basically just no throttle into tightens and gt ready to brake if you goofed
The slow cars are very momentum driven and it is tempting to try to not shed speed; but you have to. Especially when bumpy, there are a few very fast sections that are very bumpy and you gotta slow down. Watch out for bumps and crests in general, they can mess up braking.
There are a lot of 'tightens' corners. Slow down!

2 base stations and 3 trackers is going to be cheaper than 3 of these new trackers. I think these new trackers are an actual nothingburger for us. They're better suited for enthusiasts using it for other stuff, like scuffed mocap or tracking an object for non-headset purposes.

Quest gives you a better display, but in return you have to deal with something even worse than an "average" screen which is having to deal with video compression artifacts and delays. Look around the room and it turns into a blocky mess. Fucking awful in comparison to native PC headsets.

To me, going with the same principle the implication from that is that a single person shouldn't post 50 images, but there's no difference in quality between 4 images (which anon posted) or 2 images (which you demand).

It's not like we have to conserve anything like bandwidth or post limits anyways. When was even the last time we hit the image limit? The last 6 threads certainly didn't. Yes, I looked it up, and I'm sure this would've continued if I looked further.

I personally care far more about seeing people's WIPs and little progresses for custom content for VR games like VRChat and similar games than about the latest VR shovelware. And yes, I liked those 4 progress images, even though you didn't care about them at all.

Optimally, people should be free to post whatever on-topic content they like, in whatever quantity they want. You should complain about actual shitposting like >>422958737 instead.

Make sure to scale it down .85 on all axis.
Most booths are 1.3 - 1.4 meters in height, and there is an arms race to make them ever smaller and smaller.
Meanwhile MMD models top out at about 1.6 meters.

Pavlov's method of rendering used a restricted version of the UE4 material system, you can't just slap on a shader like in Unity to make it look good. I think it's just using the default unmodified material here so there was room for improvement though.

Recently got a new headset but still got my old one. The batteries aren't directly compatible but I go bigbrain and think 'hey if I just switch to the old one when the new one is out of batteries, it's like, infinite energy, man.'
And that works fine, but there's an unforseen problem. More often than not when I switch headsets while in a VRChat room, it mutes half or so of the people in the room. This cannot be fixed via the options menu, I do not have anyone muted by settings.

Man, just finished the Wanderer VR. Such a good VR adventure/puzzle. Feels like those old point and click adventures but in VR. I felt compelled to actually finish it, couldn't stop playing.

Finished at around 10 hours, including being stuck and thinking. Tip - collect as many things as you can even if they seem insignificant. There is many funny solutions.

The easiest way to tell is the spacer is removable, giving, so your eyes are much closer to the lenses. Only the v2 has that. The cable looks different too. Serial numbers don't help. You'll get one guaranteed if bought directly from hp now. I've a v2 so just check if he can remove the spacer.

Realistically though if someone is getting serious millage out of their headset and not just leaving it in a corner after buying it to collect dust it's almost exclusively going to be racing sims, vrchat, or beatsaber. The PS headsets are kinda in an awkward place where if you want to go cheap then quests offer drastically more options for usage and they're more cost efficient while if you want quality or value there are just so much better options out there. I guess if you happen to only own a ps5 and no real gaming rig there could be an argument for it but aside from fov there doesn't really look to be much. Vs a quest 2 you're basically trading a bit more fov and resolution for a forced wired headset that's heavier, can't play 90% of vr games, and costs an extra $150.
