Here are the results of last week's Dirt Rally 2.0 event, rain made things a bit trickier, but it wasn't as rough as I expected. The only DNF this time was a game crash.

Uranus - Sleep & Chill is a nice comfy one just chilling on a floating rock with a view. Stellar Sail is also a nice comfy map for watching videos on a cruise ship in space. Among The Stars is a pleasant dome type world. Bifröst - Endless Tower is pleasant to just sit on the edge of and watch the elevator go by. The obvious easy recommendation that is good for trips is Adrift, I encourage you to use the flight stick to coast into the black hole.

Check your stats while ingame. If your VRAM is actually full, it's probably the main cause of your performance issues and something with more VRAM will definitely help. Aim for at least 16GB of VRAM if you're upgrading anyway, but 12GB is already a large improvement.
Your CPU is still pretty okay but you could theoretically get the 5800X3D or the 7800X3D instead for VERY large performance gains in VRChat. If your budget is literally $2000 then get a used 3090 and a 5800X3D and you're golden.

Because wireless itself is nice but it comes at the cost of tracking quality and picture quality, and if you want to use FBT you have to use janky space calibration shit. Also no index controllers because space calibrator is even more aids if the headset and controllers aren't in the same tracking universe.
Give me an Index attachment that allows decent wireless (like the Vive/Vive Pro Wireless but with less jank and a longer battery) and I'd be totally set. Even if it costs like $1000 extra.

I'm a 3-weeks old VR newfag and at first I only wanted to use off-hand locomotion because I liked the idea of my movement being decoupled from head pov, however you start playing some games like contractors where you need to reach for a magazine and doing it in the middle of a firefight is a pain in the ass. Whenever you look down, grab your mag and insert it, your controller motion will jerk you off the path you want to move and adjusting your joystick just for that half second is terrible.
With head movement, the only micro adjustement on the stick you need to do is when wanting to look on the sides. Only downside is that some games make you stop sprinting when holding Top Left/Right on the stick but when you do a quick head movement to check your surroudings it's less of a hassle than not being able to reload while sprinting and moving straight.
