It's because floats can't represent every decimal value. Much better build quality, tracking that can't be blocked and functions better at high speeds, better ergonomics, concave thumbsticks, no tracking ring on the outside to bump things or stop you reloading, and much better battery life. The best part is that they don't break. I'm on my fourth pair of Index controllers as the shitty triggers and thumbsticks degrade so easily. Valve cut me off and refuses to send me more as I'm out of RMA now.

I think that Valve can do better. The Steam Deck thumbsticks haven't failed me and are nice and concave similar to the Quest controllers. But that will have to wait for the Deckard. For now Zucc and Carmack have made a better engineered product.

The controllers are one of the worst aspects of the Quest Pro. The tracking was overall worse and you need to be in a brightly lit room for it to work.
I don't know if it was a recent firmware update or what, but they would very often just "crash" and stop tracking completely. Then I had to turn them off completely, and then turn them back on again. And when I did that, the face tracking (literally one of the only reasons to have a Quest Pro) would stop working and would stop sending data over Airlink until I restarted the entire headset.

We don't know how much drift the Quest Pro controllers have over the longer term yet. I assume it's less, but if it's anything like the other Oculus controllers it will start drifting after a year anyway, making them strict downgrades.

Bruh, there wasn't a concrete time until Friday. I was in the pre-game room from 10 to 10:45 (15 minutes before the event was scheduled) to get everything set up. I figured anyone interested would want say hello first and make sure the audio and technical stuff was working beforehand.

I try again for 11pm EST next Saturday. It'll give me more time to fill out the quiz question list and maybe get some /a/ material on there.
