It's not just vrchat. It's all over the internet. It's an epidemic. Half of the internet are pill-pushing trannies that will excommunicate you for "killing the mood" if you say anything mean to them. They're also usually the worst kind of coomers and have literally nothing interesting to say. You're running out of time if you want to make a world. Try and get your worlds submitted a week before the 29th, and preferably submitted to labs to make it easier for hosts to drop portals to them

Ok so VRchat operates in a tribal basis of avatar usage. Easily pirateable models go around and piracy is rampant. Model uploaders usually just use these free stuff too. You will see the rarer stuff and more unique stuff the more you get into friends+ worlds and meet people who don’t just pick avatars based on what is easily available.

There is also the effect of “I want to look like my friends” as similarity breeds familiarity and you get an almost instant in on being friends by being of a similar avatar type.
This works for tdas,karins,mmds,botes,bluearchive,genshin,selestia etc.
People like being around people who look like them and the easily available and pirateable stuff people gravitate towards those and it snowballs from there

Yes. You purchase them through a third party service, either Gumroad or Payhip for Western creators or Booth for Eastern, and then upload the avatar yourself. This means that you are provided with the Unity files and typically the .psds of the textures which means that you can customize a base model to some extent instead of being a carbon copy and these files are easily passed around. You are also dealing with a larger portion of the dregs if you are in Quest worlds and not PCVR only ones. The Great Pug is substantially better then the Black Cat for this reason, for example, even if they're both public world shitholes in the end. Quest users are heavily either children or poor and stupid.

They managed to place the code into passcode so. I know we managed to kick some actual randos during the event who managed to get the code somehow.

I wonder if we should just install the interrogation room ban hammer system we have on all the events. It usually only really gets important for friend by friend since people are subjected to them by force if they somehow manage to get in the code.

What I do know is people get sad if they get matched with someone who does not inhabit the same social space as us here in 4chan and why we needed the second layer of interrogation.
But for most events I thought the passcode system is enough. Too much gatekeeping kinda feels oppresive too

Some are basically method actors, others are just acting to appeal to partners, a lot are just desperate for some fun, there's trolls, and there's even real life couples that do it online when they can't physically meet up. There are non-erotic roleplayers around, and there's more of them than you'd expect, but they have to be pretty exclusive to keep out the erotics, for obvious reasons.

I don't know if you were able to make it or not, but once again, the links to the cars are inside the server's description via Content Manager, and most individual cars will be re-uploaded to the MEGA (if that's what anons would prefer), though large car packs I think are better off acquiring from their original source. So the traffic cars are bundled with SRP's car pack which is shown in the description. I will include the MEGA link in that list for any future events.

Made a Christmas lights geo node, so if you need some inspo for an christmas Avatar or map, feel free to use it.

My workflow is using mesh for everything, then change it to curve in the Geo node, so you don't have to mess around with curves, just make a mesh that is some form of line and apply the geo node to the object.

Havent looked at the final product in Unity yet, but it should work...

Just got my first vr headset last night. A quest 2. Man that cloth headstrap sucks, despite that I had a good time. I didn't realize headstrap position effects focus. I'm on the fence about bots so far. When I was fighting enemies a few times I had robots force me into or out of cover and I felt like they were a fun new dynamic. Not at all. The mount already comes with cableways where you need them. This is just a guy making up excuses to use his 3d printer.

The only two things I printed for my headset was a strap clip for the top because the elastic of the top is too big for the interlock of the visor and a bracket to mount a battery on the tension knob to distribute the weight more toward the back.
