Quick testing on Q3. The resolution is really damn low at 1650x1700 @ 72hz or something.
With QGO I gave it a 35%~ bump (2300x2400 I believe) and while it's stable at 72hz, if you want to get a silky smooth 90hz you'll have to increase the GPU levels to Very High or Ultra and drop the resolution by a 100 or 150px.
I personally set CPU to High, Gpu to VH and FRR to Medium.

Just tried multiplayer and you need to set the courses and player count in advance before people join. Joining a private room is simply inputing a private code.
Microphone quality is absolutely horrible with gain tuned out to 1000% or something, but on the other hand you have a some meme interactions you can do which clicking the right stick with 20 or so pre-baked lines and 4 emojis you can spam. When spectating and hitting the joystick you can do clapping sounds, cheers, whistles or like a big gasp.
If you like walkabout minigolf, don't really like real golf but kinda want to like it then it's worth a try. The game holds your hand the entire time telling you which clubs to use with a ton of visual information.

Quest is a console so it needs all the help it can to get better visual fidelity while still running at decent resolution and framerate.
They're already having some games run at 45fps with retroprojection forced on to keep up with the shitty q2 hardware.

It's not about liking it or not. They've outgrown /vg/ and need their own board. Don't send them to /vmg/, they'll ruin that board for the few who enjoy it. Compare the 2-3 hour time a /vg/ gacha thread fills up compared to the 1-2 weeks on /vmg/. The top 5 gacha threads from /vg/ on their own would be a top 10 board, comparable to /sp/ or /tv/ in post speed. These are core 4chan boards in my opinion so being comparable in speed to them is very relevant.
/vg/ without gacha would slow by around a third and the only reason it's that low is from irredeemable trash like /xivg/ spewing a hundred ritual posts in the first 10 minutes of every new thread.

For VR specifically I honestly can see the appeal of wireless, it just comes with a lot of cope attached so it's a matter of preference. An ideal headset would be wireless without the drawbacks, at this point it's pick your poison

Also the battery question doesn't come up for everyone because the average VR user (even around here) is going to be in VR for long enough for their Quest battery to run out, and not much longer.
