vpns have a limited amount of ips they have access to, popular vpns have recognizable ip ranges, if the spamming is coming from one of those vpns it's very easy to tell and that specific ip range can be banned, it largely depends on which vpn is being used to spam how easy it is to deal with

.fbx is the format everyone is used to with models, so whether or not it's needed is something entirely up for debate.
Technically you can use a .blend file for an avatar, if you're insane but you shouldn't because the filesize will be likely 400mb
Anyways with models in unity you want to go into inspector then press the tab rig make it humanoid and configure.
Then you want to attach each bone to its respective placement, leave the jaw and upperchest bone blank though.
Then enforce t-pose and press apply/save

Speaking of vivecraft, the other server is back up upon request. I think the next version of vanilla minecraft is out now, or is coming out soon, so as soon as the mods for it are updated I will try updating to that version. Armadillos!

Good news everyone. Vorpx has been cracked. For those of you who don't know, Vorpx is a software that converts flat games to VR games. It is far from perfect but nonetheless the best tool conversion tool available right now as well as the only way to play certain flat games in VR.

has anyone else been having issues with steamlink lately?
my quest 2 and RT-AX55 has been working fine but recently it's started stuttering. i started looking into it and the Steamvr displays the latency around 7-8ms suddenly spiking to 22-30 and a display error on the graph.
my router and the quest agree that they're connected at 1200mbps but the advanced display shows the connection wont go over ~180mbps, and has frequent drops.
manually setting it to 250 gets better connection speed, but much more frequent drops, and setting it lower will smooth out the drops, but not eliminate them.

i've played with the router settings, changing channels, but nothing has helped.

anyone else having issues?

Just lower minimum brightness in your shader settings. (Have to change for each material on your avatar) Also realistic lighting looks pretty shit unless its a realistic character (like geralt of rivia or something) flat shading is better for anime avatars.

Minimum brightness is good because some worlds have bad lighting and then you are a black silhuette only so leave it just barely above 0.

I think I’m going to dump my quest 3. VR just isn’t ready for prime time. There’s no money to be made and we haven’t had a good game since Vertigo 2.
AW2 was good. Maybe when quest 4-5 has the ability to run something like stormlands or Alyx it will finally take off. Maybe cloud gaming will be good enough by then as well. Fix your shader settings. There's plenty of ways to make flat lit shading look excellent without having it overexposed and lacking detail like in your picture.
Normals, toon ramps, and outlines alone can make a big difference.

They have long-term liabilities from when they were still getting VC money. It's nothing imminently bad but right now their goal is to pay down their liabilities rather than invest in keeping staff (especially since I get the impression that they don't even know what they should be working on atm).

There's nothing really inherently wrong with downsizing dev staff after major work is complete. Most companies would be better served by maintaining a core squad for maintenance and small features rather than paying to keep a bunch of devs spinning their wheels for years on projects that go nowhere. Skills: There are lots of builds but if you pick one that isn't skill-damage based you're in trouble unless you have good items.
Items: 99.99% of items that drop are awful randomized garbage junk that you can't do anything with but sell or grind for crafting materials.
World: Things are standing around waiting for you to kill them, and the story doesn't matter. There's bosses and minibosses that change up how you play the game a little but most just revolve around finding a pillar to dance around and chugging potions.

Personally I think it's pretty fun and I've got enough hours in the game to justify a $30 game. Problem is it's $60; wait for a sale.
