I hosted a lobby yesterday and it is fun. I'm going to host it again tomorrow night at 9pm ET (in ~26 hours).

The in-game voice chat is kind of bad so we'll be using mumble at voice.vrg.party, set that up if you haven't yet. Tried it out oh man I don't like the motion control reloads at all. On the plus side it runs perfectly compared to the VR mod for the flat game.
Weapon wheel feels to slow to be meaningful for me so I only ever use the quick switch and now I'm missing the dedicated button from the mod that let you equip paz instantly to keep your beat up.
The spatial audio sucks. It suffers from the same issues from the base game which is enemies ganging up on you, the songs kinda sucking and losing your beat often and getting stuck in terrain from dashing.

VR in linux works better than when i tried it last time, there's still some things lacking

The motion reloads are a little finnicky and the weapon wheel is clunky, i won't argue with that. But, the movement is fine to me, but i don't rely on dashing too much. I focus more on staying airbourne.

My issue with the music isn't that doesn't sound nice but I don't like that on 16x multiplayer when the vocals kick in that it's way too easy to lose the beat.
Also more complaints, the pistols having 6 bullets each and needing to be shot alternatively is fucking with my brain so hard. It's super cool from an immersion standpoint but getting those reload warning after 4 shots is stressful. In the mod it was 12 bullets shared with both so it wasn't really an issue.
I checked some flat footage and the difference in FOV is insane. It's so small in VR I hate it.

Most of the time if i drop my multiplier, its just more motivation to to better, but i listened to alot of the bands behind the music before the game was a thing. So, i kinda have the opposite issue. Depends on what type of pvp shooter you want, sweatiness, tolerance of pubs vs playing with vrg. pavlov is the only high-pop vrg game still, but purely seethe & dilate and we've been playing it for 5 years. I like Breachers a lot because it's very polished for its type of game but you have to suffer low-pop or play in sweaty public lobbies; it is on sale now so I hope to shill it more. Contractors is ok but I still perceive it as jankier than pavlov; we haven't had a populated NA lobby in years, but there are still pubs I guess. hey blender users, im wondering: if i have an armature within another armature, can the inner armature be impacted by weight from bones in the outer armature?

i added an outfit that has its own armature to my model. it wasnt made for the model so im adding it in blender. I parented the outfit armature to my avatars armature, then copied the weight from the existing outfit. When i look through the vertex groups, it has weight for all the bones but the bones correctly dont affect it when i actually move it in pose-mode.

typically when i do this i just take the outfits mesh out of the new armature and parent it to the original armature, rather than putting an armature inside an armature.

blender homies , is there a way to auto delete zero weight bones after deleting the mesh that they were using? i deleted a mesh that had like 300 bones in my armature, and now i just have bones everywhere that i really dont want to manually delete.

i noticed that when you import an fbx into unity and rig it, it has a setting that says something about stripping the bones. but id rather do it in blender.
