If you got a whole load all at once, you either did some serious cable damage, or you might have rearranged some cables in your PC and caused a grounding issue. It honestly depends on timezone and groups of people you join on. We have a lot of groups inhabiting /vrg/. As long as you judge us by the individual and per experience instead of as a whole group you'll be fine and will be able to find the group or people you'll mesh well with.

I do have one lead, maybe this is related. Sometimes I'll be in VR and when I hit the steam dashboard button my fps also drops to like 5 and doesn't get fixed until I go back ingame. You need to manually point to vrmonitor.sh in steamVR's beta start line for ALVR to work on the first place.

Slimes work but you need to manually start them AFTER ALVR starts or the display will bug out. You also need to manually start feeder app and copy the driver to SteamVR location

WLX-overlay-s is what you use for desktop, SteamVR's desktop viewing is FUBAR and SteamVR gets as much suppport as TF2\

VRCFT's linux replacement is oscavmgr. Your avatar needs to support v2 parameters or you need to manually convert it to v2 parameters.

Reprojection is fucked, it works to 45fps but under it it gets more choppy as you go down. its ok but windows just does it better

As you might have already figured out, Into the Radius 2 will launch in Early Access on July 24th! The full price will be $39.99. In this post, we want to clarify what to expect and what not to expect from the EA launch version of the game, as there's few things worse than unmet expectations.

First, let's address an obvious point – even the full release version of ITR2 cannot contain as much functionality and content as ITR1 currently has. Sad but true. The original has undergone a long development journey with numerous major and minor updates, both in EA and even after release. Not them but I've taken a real liking to my SlimeVR trackers recently compared to my vive trackers.
Once I upgraded my straps on my slimeVR so it's easy to strap on it became so nice.
I can also be in my slimes while under sheets

Resetting the calibration is very easy as well if it starts drifting. Double tapping the chest trackers.

The only thing I would be worried for other people is that if you can't understand how it works you're fucked. It's a bit unwieldy to install properly and you need to know to automatic calibrate it the ski-pose for 10 seconds every time you start your session for a newly turned on PC.

Rare these days. Honestly I already sunk a lot of hours into ITR1 and got it for free from a raffle in their discord server so I feel buying ITR2 is payment enough for what became my favourite game, not even vr game but game in general. Sad that they're admitting they're going to gut it a bit (probably for quest's sake) compared to ITR1 but with multiplayer and modding support from the get go it will become better regardless.
Either way, as long as the feel of the game is the same I will love it. As long as I can sit and watch the world go by after clawing my way to self sufficiency and safety I will love it.

Public worlds are terrible, you have the greatest chance of meeting actual interesting people in Friends+.

So the /vrg/ community in VRChat has been running for around 6 and a half years now. I'd say there's definitely been catty highschool girl bullshit in the first 2-3 years but for the past few years I don't think it's been much of an issue. Mostly because the people that want to talk drama and be catty highschool stacys have all moved to their own thread on /trash/ with their own meet-ups. There's some overlap between the dramafag general over there and /vrg/ on /vg/ here in terms of the people, but for the most part everyone in this general that goes to the /vrg/ meetups are friendly and drama-free late 20s to early 30s people.
I've been here since the beginning with /vrg/ and I've met some very cool anons and made great friends.

Do you have Index controllers and an Index headset or other SteamVR compatible headset by chance? If so you can use your Index controllers in SteamVR instead with your Quest headset as long as your SteamVR compatible headset is plugged in to be the dongle.

Don’t rush. Let it update after the headset is updated and all firmwares are beamed into your controllers again. It’ll take a while and place your controllers near your headset while it’s updating.

It should work once fully updated and you just hover your controller in an open space area like the center of your room. Don’t move it too hard. Let it just scan the room as if you’re setting it up fresh from a factory reset

BoboVR is the usual go-to because you can hotswap the batteries and it's pretty well done for a halo-strap. There is the M3 and S3 models for Quest 3. S3 is the more expensive version with a built-in fan and longer lasting batteries. I personally prefer the M3 because it's lighter and I didn't really like the fan of the S3 since it just blows air directly on one tiny spot on your forehead and nothing else.
After that, all you need is a new facial interface since the stock one sucks dick. There are a few you can get on Amazon, personally I like the ice silk type ones. Globular Cluster F3 is my current favorite facial interface but they do take a few weeks to ship/arrive.

You can use the built-in Quest audio. Personally I don't like it whatsoever and think it sounds like shit but some people think it sounds great, your mileage may vary. I personally use wireless earbuds with my Quest. There are a lot of great wireless buds out there, and some come with 2.4ghz dongles if latency is a concern.

The only dress-up MMO that even comes close to VRChat is Second Life. so honestly it's really bad here. There's plenty of catty gays and cliques with all the "I can't believe you're still friends with X, didn't you hear what they did to Y?". that will frustrate you to no end if you try to be a normal person with normal friendships. It's not the big problem. All that crap is over in the /trash/ sister thread.

But yeah VR is good enough that anyone, anywhere can form relationships and subsequently fall out. An anon recommended me the Kiwi design headstrap and I can confirm it's good. It cups the back of the head well and the top strap has plenty of padding. The back half hinging upwards sounded like a novelty but it's huge quality of life, much easier to put on and you can even use it handheld when you're jumping between VR and non VR.
I added my own battery at the back of the top strap using vecro tape so I can take it off when needed and the weight balance feels very good with it on.

This is a /vrg/ dancing group/club open to any anon. It is first and foremost a ParaPara (dance style for eurobeat) circle but is also open to other types of dancing, with the recent addition of Wotagei (dance style using lightsticks) as an activity.

I remember the oculus had a way of doing deadzone fixes to account for stick drift. The index has steam vr settings for deadzones, but they dont seem to actually do anything.

Any quest 2 users here? have you tried the bobo vr m2 vs the vrcover foam strap? is it much better? I find the foam strap to be quite better than the default straps, but combined with the face sweating (I got a vrcover face replacement too) the experience is still too uncomfortable for me to last more than 30 minutes straight playing anything
